Stiles had already started his journey back to the palace, observing the pleased expression on the people's faces as they danced to their various songs. It was clear that they were happy over this small victory of Kynburgh over the alliance forces.

Stiles even heard faint voices speaking about erecting a statue for their new King. It felt hilarious and satisfying to Stiles, who heard these conversations.

'Yet, why don't I feel a thing… I thought there was going to be some psychological cue after I completed the first condition…' Stiles thought in exasperation, his veins twitching.

'There is either no way to determine if the task was successful or that old man deceived me…' Stiles had a finger on his glabella, his facial expression turning ugly as he thought of 'deceit'.

Though he had managed to move past his parents' actions a little, he still hated the idea of getting deceived. After all, George had used what he craved the most to entice him.
