Chapter 1 - Lonely

"You should go find someone of your class to crush on, don't bother normal people, weirdo!"

"She called beautiful Mulan her best friend."

"Best friend? What trash."

"Hahaha."

The cacophony of laughter and mocking words filled her ears.

She couldn't even breathe because of the stench of egg emanating from her body.

The situation was rather strange, herbest friend, no, I should rephrase that, her ex best friend just started dating her long time crush the day after she confessed to him and her ex best friend wasted no time in rubbing it on her face.

"Mulan." She called lowly, even though she was constantly bullied, Mulan always took care of her or was all that fake too? Come to think of it Mulan never showed up when she was being bullied Mulan only came to console her after she had been bullied, even though she was among the most beautiful girls in school and had some authority to reduce the constant bullying.

The girl that was soaked with dirty water and egg waited patiently for the crowd of girls to disperse before she stood up and dragged my battered body home.

Mitchell Norman, seventeen years old final year high school student, a typical nerd and pushover, bullied by everyone including the people at the bottom of the class.

As she walked home ignoring the disgust filled and disdainful gazes cast at her, she couldn't even cry, this sort of thing has become a frequent happening but somehow she still fall victim to these events, letting history repeat itself over and over and over again.

She opened the door and saw her younger sister, no, there weren't even related. The young lady was the only daughter of Mr and Mrs Dixon, Mitchell's adoptive parents.

"Jeez, I was wondering why the air suddenly smelt like waste, turns out you are... sniff, what's that smell?"

Mitchell didn't even spare her a glance, she went upstairs to her small attic-like room and quickly locked the door.

"Are you ignoring me, you baseless bitch?!" An ear piercing scream resounded from the living room but Mitchell ignored her.

The tears she had been holding poured like heavy rain after long years of drought. Mitchell glanced around her room and she caught sight of the box that contained her drawing tools.

As an orphan, an extremely unhappy one at that, Mitchell at a young age found her solace and joy in painting and drawing.

She kept her box aside and immediately dashed to the bathroom to shower and wash away the unpleasant smell of rotten eggs.

Mitchell spent some time before coming back out, a smile grazed her lips as she grabbed her drawing sheets and slowly drew a butterfly, with her expertise, it didn't take long to finish, Mitchell admired her work first before she grabbed a fruit knife and made a little cut on her finger.

Mitchell allowed the blood drop on sketched butterfly, the blood flowed through the beautiful wings, a little bright light appeared and immediately it disappeared a blue and black coloured butterfly flew from the paper, leaving the paper as an plain, blood stained paper.

This power was an ability, Mitchell discovered she had few years ago, she still remembered that day that she used her blood stained finger to draw a fish the fish appeared, Mitchell almost died from shock that day.

Mitchell wanted to tell everyone, thinking that she would finally have worth in people's eyes if they knew about her awesome abilities but she thought about it thoroughly and came to a conclusion that if people finds out about the ability and how it works, they would most probably drain her of all her blood till she had not even a single drop left.

Mitchell watched the butterfly flutter it's wing as if flew around.

Mitchell thought quietly until a sudden thought crossed her mind.

Her face paled at the thought.
