Chapter 60 - Chapter 59: Santa Cruz

After enjoying their stay in Cabia, Ferdinand and Tanya were on the plane that would go to their last stop in Muricas, since the Olmec Union was no longer on the list due to the cut in relations with the Imperium, which still irritated Ferdinand deeply when he thought about it.

Santa Cruz, also known as the Federative Republic of Santa Cruz, was the counterpart of Youjo Senki of Brazil, which in the Original Earth was a Territorial Giant in South America, and here it was no different, even achieving some memorable victories.

Santa Cruz was a colony of the ancient Kingdom of Portvgallo, but it became independent when Portvgallo united with Ispagna through a Union of Crowns in the Iberian Peninsula, with Santa Cruz now being considered the last country of Lusitanian origin in the entire World.

Similar to Brazil in the Original Earth, Santa Cruz became an Empire upon its independence, being a Constitutional Monarchy with the only difference being that it had already ended slavery at the time it became independent from Ispagna, which brought about a certain uprising in some pro-slavery provinces who decided to use this as an excuse to return to Ispagna or create their own republics.

But thanks to the command of Emperor Henrique I, Santa Cruz managed to maintain its territories and be recognized as an independent country, but then war would break out because of the Olmec Union that had been established several years before Santa Cruz.

Seeing the state of weakness that Santa Cruz was in, the Olmec Union declared war on Santa Cruz and went on the offensive, which thanks to the genius of the Emperor and his Marshals managed to not only defend themselves but also counterattack and win the war, which in the end ended with Santa Cruz increasing its territories and obtaining compensation.

The country is currently a republic due to a military coup that occurred with the support of the republicans and dissatisfied elites several years ago, but even so, the country was in an extremely good situation compared to original Brazil, having not only the territories of Brazil, but also the territories of what would be in the 21st century the territories of Paraguay, Uruguay, the Guianas, and Suriname, in addition to having a lot of profit because of the coffee they export.

However, the Political Spectrum was completely different, with the country having a lot of political radicalization, with the Socialists running wild while the Oligarchy that controls Santa Cruz has been trying its best to deal with it, Ferdinand wonders what will happen when sympathizers of National-Legionarism begin to appear in that country, not to mention the Monarchists who want to restore the Empire but are currently a illegal party by order of the republican government.

"Are you ready to drink Santa Cruz coffee? I'm sure you'll love it" Ferdinand asks Tanya while reading a newspaper.

"Hmmm, I won't lie that I'm curious about their coffee, but I'm worried about the political situation in that country... The Communists are very strong in that country, more so than in the other countries we've been to... let's hope that this doesn't cause any problems during our stay there" Tanya says seriously as she stops looking at the clouds through the window and looks seriously at Ferdinand, who nods his head.

"Yes, but the Right there won't accept such a thing for long, also if the Monarchists are smart, they might try to monopolize the situation to receive support from right-wing groups and possibly some centrists, thus putting a balance against the Reds" Ferdinand says as he finishes reading his newspaper, with Tanya nodding her head at hearing this.

"Do you plan on doing anything about this?" Tanya asks with a raised eyebrow.

Ferdinand thinks seriously about it before nodding his head.

"Yes, I have no doubt that the situation of the Olmec Union is because of the U.S. as it was said in the newspapers...so I will give a gift to these Muricans by supporting legionary movements with extreme force, I wanted to be moderate, but now I will bet heavily on the horse there or better...the fish, as in Santa Cruz, I will also support legionary movements, perhaps try to make them ally with the Monarchists to have more chance" Ferdinand answers Tanya, with a serious look on his face.

Aaah, Bucharest, I look at the Imperial Capital which is as lively as ever, I don't remember it being as lively as it was during the time it was called Os, it shows how times change... and for Dacia, they have changed for the better.

Since I became Legatus and Prime Minister, I have had a lot of work to ensure that the reign of God's chosen one would not be troubled, with me being rewarded for such a thing, as I now live in a Mansion with my family, my wife even gave birth to a cute little girl, my little Adriana.

Currently, Dacia, known worldwide now as the Imperium Daciae, is strengthening itself for the next Crusade we will make, to ensure that the world is free from Socialist and Communist ideas and finally make Dacia become the greatest Power in the World.

"Legatus, new documents have arrived that need your approval" Said one of my secretaries respectfully as she entered my office, bowing to me and showing the papers she was holding.

"Thank you," I say with a smile as I take the documents and read them carefully, with me reading them before signing, until suddenly I see a document that says certain things...worrying, involving plans that the Federation had against us on the border.

"Has this been confirmed?" I ask my secretary as I point to the document in question, with her nodding seriously.

"Yes, Legatus, it has been confirmed." Hearing what she said, I can't help but feel worried but at the same time irritated by the audacity of those damned Communists.

But then I take a deep breath, calming myself, I then dismiss the secretary and use the phone on my desk, calling a private channel controlled by the Secret Service to communicate directly with Cezar.

"Hello, this is Prime Minister Arthur Iordanescu, I need to speak with His Imperial Majesty, Cezar Johan I von Rotenburg" I say in an extremely serious tone, the other end goes silent for a while, which was standard before I hear a dial tone.

"Arthur, what happened? You don't call unless it's serious" I hear Cezar on the other end of the line.

"Cezarul meu, I have important matters involving the security of the Imperium on the border with the Russy Federation" I politely answer my Cezar, with me looking at the documents on my desk.

No one will touch the domain of God's Chosen, for better or for worse.
