Chapter 22 - Chapter 22: Glorious Sultanate.

3rd Pov

In the skies of the Military Camp where Ferdinand was residing during his training time, one could hear and see several magical explosions going on.

Ferdinand, who was trying to dodge and protect himself from the Russy White Mages' shots, was tightly gripping his rifle and fighting back whenever he had the chance, sweat beading down his forehead.

On the ground, Nikolay was watching everything using binoculars, when he had enough, he lowered the binoculars and nodded to the Cossack standing next to him, the Cossack then raised a red flag.

While Ferdinand was increasingly dodging and shooting, he hears the noise of Artillery being fired, so he quickly activates his Magic Shield to protect him from Artillery fire.

'I'm surrounded not by sadists, but psychopaths of the highest level' Ferdinand thought as he shot some Mages and ran away from Artillery fire.

He continued shooting for a while longer until a loud whistle was heard, signaling that the training was over, and with that, the Mages went back to the ground.

Sighing in relief that it's finally over, Ferdinand drops to the ground, heading straight for where his Uncle was.

"I have to say, Ferdinand, I'm proud of how much you're evolving, keep it up and you'll become a powerful Mage in no time." Said Nikolay with clear pride in his voice as he looked at his Nephew.

"Thank you, Uncle" Said Ferdinand while nodding seriously.

"Come with me, it's just before your strategic training" Nikolay said as he went to his tent, being followed by Ferdinand.

Royal Palace, Office of the Grand Duke.

Johan was sitting in his chair as he listened to Arthur and his Cabinet talking about the progress they were making on Projects initiated by the Central Government.

"Your Majesty, the creation of the railways is at a fast and well-organized pace, with the Big Cities of Dacia already being connected, now we are going to focus more on the interior of the country" Said the Minister of Economy, Nicolas Izbasa.

Johan nodded at this, he then focused his attention on the new Minister of War, Razvan Vulcan, who was always serious and attentive.

"Your Majesty, the Royal Dacian Army is improving every day, thanks to the Exiled Officers Russy, the training of the Soldiers is making them ready for when the War starts." Razvan said with his head held high, exuding a lot of confidence in his words.

"Hmmm, well, when we start the War against Magna Rumeli, we must be prepared, mistakes must not be made when the War starts... is that understood?" Johan asked seriously as he looked into Razvan's eyes, who nodded.

Seeing Razvan nodding, Johan then focuses on the new Minister of Public Security, Valeriu Continiu, Arthur's right-hand man.

"Your Majesty, crime has decreased and also all Traitors are being hunted, the Borders have been closed by your Order, and no one will leave without the Central Government knowing" Valeriu said calmly as he lowered his head.

Johan then focused his attention on Arthur, who was holding some Documents.

"Your Majesty, we managed to make an Agreement with the Allied Kingdom for Loans, in addition to the negotiation for the purchase of Warships" Said Arthur while handing Johan the documents.

Johan carefully reads the documents before handing them back to Arthur and nodding.

"Good, very good, how about the Rebel Grupps in Magna Rumeli?" Johan asked while raising one of his eyebrows.

"Some have already started uprisings in the Southern Hellenic Provinces, while the Slavic Provinces are preparing to stage major uprisings against Rumeli Local authorities, in addition to having already started terrorist attacks against important figures." Arthur replied.

"Great, when the time comes, these groups will be important enough to cause chaos on Enemy Lines" Johan said sighing, he then thanked everyone for their presence and dismissed them.

Now alone, Johan takes a Cabian Cigar from his drawer and starts to smoke.

In Agibul, Rumeli Imperial Palace

In the Great Hall of the Rumeli Imperial Palace, several important military and political figures from Magna Rumeli were kneeling before the man seated on the Throne.

The man was a person of 60 Years of Age, quite overweight, with brown eyes and a big beard, besides wearing, he was being served some grapes by the Consort Wives of his Harem.

That man was Osman VI, "The Great". Sultan of Magna Rumeli and the Turkman Principalities.

"So...how are the Rebels being handled?" Asked Osman VI as he ate one of the grapes served by his Consort.

"I-is being destroyed, Your Majesty, the scum that is rebelling against your Glorious Sultanate will cease to exist" Said one of the Rumeli Pashas with a little sweat on his forehead, besides trying to give a confident look.

The other Pashas and Ministers were nodding their mugs in agreement as they didn't want the Sultan to know the truth as it would mean the end of their lives.

"Good, very good...I will be ordering something regarding the Provinces where the Rebels operated" Osman VI said calmly as he raised his hand, telling the Consorts to stop giving him grapes.

"These provinces will receive increased Taxes for 10 Years, in addition to which I will give certain...permission, for our loyal soldiers, to teach a 'lesson' to the residents of said Province" Osman VI declared as he returned to be served by his Consorts.

The Ministers and Pashas who heard this were astonished, they knew that this would not do any good, it would only further infuriate the population of the Provinces and even the nearby provinces that were not involved or affected.

"It shall be done...Your Majesty...Your Will is law, Praise be to Your Government" Said one of the Pashas as he had his head bowed.

"Praise be to Your Government" Said the rest of the Ministers and Pashas in a high tone as they try to show confidence.

With that, the fate of the Provinces where the rebellions started would be suffering for the next few days, making the Hatred and Resentment they had for the Rumeli even higher.

While that would be bad for the Rumeli, the real culprits starting it all will just reap the profits when the time is right.
