"Or what?" The cold voice forced the maid to raise her head only to see Meredith standing there with a predatory look in her eyes. There was no chill in the air, yet one could feel danger coming through.
The maid cleared her throat.
"Your highness did not like it if anyone plucked flowers from the garden. I only stopped the child because he was moving brazenly." She replied in a righteous tone when Mary walked closer with her hands folded in front of her chest.
"Is that so?" she tilted her head and asked in a soft voice when the maid nodded again with more confidence this time. Why was she afraid? This woman was just a fake and was going to be kicked out too.
"Then let's go and confirm it."
