In the royal palace,
Nicholas had already taken a seat in the palace's central office. He was sitting in the chair of his father and reading the recent reports of nobles.
A smirk was on his face when the count entered the room and bowed his head.
"May the goddess' blessings always fall upon you, your grace."
"Count Saleby, you are alone. I thought Count Eluciad would accompany you today," he asked warmly as she offered the chair to the man.
"He was about to come, your grace. But Duke Cassian arranged a party for tomorrow. He had been invited to discuss it." Nicolas raised a brow. His face still smiled but his eyes had darkened.
"A party?" He tilted his head and looked at his aide. But the man shook his head.
