Cassian stared at the invitation letter with a heavy heart. His gaze flickered when he read the host's name.
"Are you sure we should organize a party at this moment?" His conflicted gaze annoyed Mary.
She glared at the stubborn man as she threw the letters in her hands on the table with force.
"Why? Are you afraid to stand against the crown prince? If you play by the rules, you're going to lose. This is not a war where you can use swords and daggers. It is politics. Your mind and tongue should be sharp enough to gain allies." She glared at him until he picked up the letter and wrote Nicholas's name on it.
With a staffing look, she filled in in the names of nobles who hold immense power. Then she passed the rest of the list on to maids.
"Do you remember everything I taught you?" He gritted his teeth but nodded.
