"My lady, what if the lord found Alec and freed him?" June looked worried as she stared out of the window.
The palace was already far enough that she could not see the count but her heart was palpitating with fear and uncertainty.
"Ha! Do you think he could find the child so easily? I have made sure that no one would ever find him." The smirk on her face did not convince June. but she could only nod.
She had asked so many times where the child was but her mistress did not indulge her with truth.
She would only smirk and tell June that she had taken care of the child. But how and where?

"Know your place, June. Do you want to come with me or not?" The harsh reminder was enough for the girl to shut her mouth and nod.
She bowed her head when Cassey finally looked away. She stared out of the window, the estate she had worked so hard for was leaving behind.
