Without wasting time, Jiang Ting, Yan Ping, Yan Yao and Mei Ling followed the disciple to the main hall. The atmosphere inside was heavy, and several of the sect's elders were present, their faces etched with concern. Sect Leader Zhang stood at the center, his usually calm demeanor replaced by a stern expression.
"Jiang Ting, Yan Ping, Yan Yao, Mei Ling," Sect Leader Zhang began, "I have received reports of a powerful demonic sect operating in the nearby regions. They have been targeting martial artists, draining their life force and corrupting their cultivation. This sect has recently grown bolder, and I fear they may pose a significant threat to our Dragon's Roar Sect."
