Chapter 9: Your Thoughts are Inumerable

Wu yang gripped Mo Lilin's waist, blocking the blow of the beast, as they flew backward, using his qinggong to walk across the water backwards.

They finally came to a halt on the water, and the beast fully revealed itself from the water, reaching his long neck out of the water, which dripped from a beautiful maw, with long dark blue and silver whiskers, black beady eyes, and a pale blue glistening scales, leading all the way down in it's neck.

"Dragon???" spoke Mo Lilin in shock, gripping onto Wu Yang tighter. "Why the heck would you summon a f*cking dragon???"

Wu Yang smiled at his antics, before running forward on the water, as if it weren't actually water, but instead solid glass, causing hardly a ripple on the surface with each step.

"How is this possible?" Whispered Mo Lilin in awe, as Wu Yang leapt off the water, over the Dragon's head, sending down a blade of black qi towards it's head. The dragon called forth the water, which rose as a magnificent wall to block it, the dragon bursting through the water wave he created to snap at Wu Yang. Only, as if Wu Yang had expected this, he had already dodged beneath him, and now thrusted upwards, his blade trailing dark, tumultuous energy. It made Mo Lilin's own skin shiver, and he couldn't help but get very conscious of how tight he was gripping this beast's robes. How did I dare be so rude to such a powerful man???

Wu Yang on the other hand, finally got a square shot at it, and the dragon screeched, leaping down into the water to escape, but Wu Yang simply sneered at this last minute attempt, before flinging his blade forward, pinning it to the wall. The dragon flapped and writhed to escape, but finally settled down as Wu Yang walked over.

He took out a beast storing tag, which he'd bought at bargain for only half a silver, but had literally used up almost all his pay, and along with the meal he ordered, and the boat he'd rented, he was flat broke by now.

He smiled at the cowering dragon, walking up to take something from it's head. It didn't resist. "Are you willing?"

'Is there another option???' The dragon nodded demurely.

Wu Yang quickly locked it up in his tag and finding their now somewhat damaged boat, set Mo Lilin down on it, before sitting down by the oar and heading back, now that he had finished what he came to do.

But Mo Lilin wasn't about to just let him off. "What was that? What actually was that?"

"A child of Fuzanglong, I think...? Couldn't say, been so long.."

"Wait, did you say Fuzanglong, the legendary treasure dragon?"

Wu Yang looked at him in confusion. "Everything is legendary nowadays, what is so crazy?"

"Doesn't that dragon create volcanos every time it comes to the surface? And yet, just now, you defeated its kid like it was nothing?"

"...His children are weaker."

"...oh."

"He does have a good pearl though, if you're interested."

"Must you ask this?"

Wu Yang smiled and tossed him the bright white pearl he'd taken from the dragon's head.

Mo Lilin admired it for a bit, before walking over to Wu Yang without a trace of his wrath moment's ago. "Say...Danqing Killer, you don't have any friends, do you?"

"...How did you know?"

Mo Lilin looked at him like he was an idiot. "With a personality like yours, that betrays others without a second thought, that can't seem to tell what hurts others feelings, how could you have friends?"

Wu Yang felt insulted. "Said the person who went away to buy poisoned wine only to order another boat to follow from a distance!"

Mo Lilin tsked. "It's okay, little qingqing, I know you desire to be close to a smart man like me, and I'll gladly be your friend, for a small fee, of course."

Wu Yang shook his hand off his shoulder. "You're only getting 20%, no more, no less, stop arguing about this." He'd already lost 5% from his original goal to this swindler...

"Oh come on! I'm sure I deserve more than that, isn't 20% far too little? come on, hey, are you even listening to me? I'm telling you right now, I have great services..."

The Demonic sect..

Blood flowed in small streams, pieces of bodies scattered far and near. the throne room ran red with blood, guts and limbs of people thrown about like a child had torn up their dolls in a temper tantrum.

A small man with an evil face tiptoed his way over the corpses to the throne on which a madman sat. He bowed. "Milord,"

The Madman glared down at him. "Dare to disturb me? What gives you the audacity?"

The small man trembled in trepidation. "Milord, I, I have news on the d,danqing killer."

"Oh?" Suddenly the madman's bearing became lighter, and almost friendly like. He brushed his thick red hair from his eyes in excitement. "What news?"

The small man felt more confident. "He is said to have recently appeared in the black market and killed the Qin brothers, he was carrying the plaque of the Black Market master and last seen sitting with another man in a mask and green robes."

The madman sneered, sending out a threatening energy, although it wasn't directed at the little man. "Oh? Has he moved on from me already to the Black Market master? And I thought our relationship might mean something! See how I'll get him. Dou Miao, investigate this in more depth for me, make sure to find out what exactly is going on, what his exact relationship is with the Black Market master currently, or if he has some other backer. Report back to me as soon as possible."

"Yes! Milord!" he rushed out of there, avoiding the bodies, as he got to the exit Luo Chongrong added on more thing.

"Oh, and send someone in to clean the place, it's an absolute cart wreck in here."

Dou Miao: ...and why do you think that is?

As Luo Chongrong was left in silence once more, he gazed around at the mess he'd created. The fire inside him spiked again, scorching through his entire body, threatening to completely devour him. So painful, he inexplicably opened his mouth, screaming crazily, gripping his body as heat flew out, pulling at his hair, and thrashing about, before it calmed down again. He slumped down on his throne. "Wu Yang, I'll find you! And...Wu Yang, please, I need you...desperately." His eyes glared sorrow into the palm of his hand, so different than his raging expression moments ago. At this point, it wasn't just anger driving him to get Wu Yang. If he didn't get that perfected yin body back, his body was bound to finally either explode, or lose his mind one day or another. To keep his sanity, to feel some peace in the burning hell of his life, he needed Wu Yang. He could never understand. How did Wu Yang bear the pain of his qi so well? Wasn't it much more painful inside of him than in Luo Chongrong? And yet, Luo Chongrong had never seen him bow to the pain, to escape into insanity, to complain or beg for mercy. When he met him again, he already knew the first question he would ask. It wouldn't be, "How dare you run away?" but, "How? How can you be so strong?"

Such a funny thing, when a man who had a constitution that is the strongest, respects a man with the weakest constitution for his strength.

And on Wudang..

Chengzi looked at Hulu, now that they were outside the main hall.

"Hey~ Hulu!" He ran over to throw his arm around the larger person. "Say, I got a question."

"Hmm?" Asked Hulu back.

"How can they do that?"

"..What do you mean?"

"How can they just punish their strongest man?"

Hulu just looked at him in confusion. "He may be strong, but he's still very young, only 2 or 3 decades old, the elders and his father hold seniority."

"? It's not like the demonic sect leader as that old though?"

"He killed his own dad for that spot."

Chengzi scratched his head. "Kegh! So complicated! So, what happens to us now that we're back?"

Hulu walked forward, waving for him to follow. "To our place, duh."

Before the dawn could break, Wu Yang had already returned the plaque, and gone to bed with the rest of the servants, catching a couple hours of sleep before morning.

The next day, Wu Yang was once more serving his new master, he had been unlucky enough to be given bath duty again today, which meant he had to carry pots of boiling water all the way to the master's room to warm his bath up after it cooled, because the master not only needed warm baths, but liked to take his time in them as well.

However, this morning, for whatever reason, after the master had read some news from a paper on an early messenger pigeon, he began to throw things about, thrashing the entire room in a rage. Wu Yang, knowing all the clean up would fall to him, was quick to intercept, "Master! Master! Please, don't punish those things! Punish me! I am the one who's wrong! Master!" He leapt in front of Bo Longwei's fist and got a good shock in the jaw as he defended the table from being incinerated. The blow was rather strong though, considering it could incinerate a table, so Wu Yang immediately fell backwards, slamming into the bed rest, as he avoided the table. Bo Longwei, noticing he'd just slammed his servant across the room, stopped his rage for a moment, and Wu Yang took the chance to run forward again. "Young master! Please calm down! It was this servants fault! Please beat this servant!" He threw himself in front of Bo Longwei.

Bo longwei picked up a glass vase. "This as nothing to do with you! I'm just in a bad mood!" And he threw it toward the ground, but Wu yang dove under it, saving it from getting smashed, but in the process bruising his arms badly.

He looked up at Bo Longwei. "Master! I'm sorry! I was wrong!"

Bo Longwei, annoyed by the interference, made to kick the vase out of Wu Yang's arms, but he quickly twisted his body to protect it, and Bo Longwei's foot smashed into his back, sending him flying across the room a second time.

Wu Yang shook his head for a moment to clear it from the blow, before setting down the vase and running over to Bo Longwei again. "Master! Please beat your arrogant servant more!"

Bo Longwei just sighed in annoyance, giving up on his tirade, rubbing the pressure point between his eyes. "Okay, okay, I'll stop smashing things, so please, stop doing that."

Phew~. Wu yang sighed in relief. The only thing that needed to be replaced now was the tea set. Such a nice tea set too...A shame it fell in such a way.

"Just get me ready, why don't you? I want a bath and a searing hot one too!"

Bo Longwei reached out his arms expectantly, and Wu Yang was quick to accept, running up and unfastening his night robe, removing it, as he brought Bo Longwei over to his tub, dipping him inside it, and mopping down his body.

"You call this hot?" Grumbled Bo Longwei.

"I'm sorry master!" Wu Yang quickly ran down to fetch more boiling water. Why did his master have to be so spoiled???

After turning his skin completely red from how hot the water had become, Bo Longwei was finally finished and came out of his rose scented waters...Wu Yang couldn't believe a guy used rose scented water...To let Wu Yang dry himself off.

"Master," asked Wu Yang out of curiosity, now that Bo Longwei wasn't throwing things about in anger anymore and had calmed down from the warm water. "What made you so frustrated this morning?"

Bo Longwei scoffed in annoyance like it was a pain to explain, but his disposition gave away his contentedness to talk about his feelings. "Ah, Jiaojiao, you wouldn't believe it! The scoundrel who played me for a fool, that I've been chasing around for over a month now, appeared out of nowhere last night, and using my identity, made a huge mess! Everyone is blaming the situation on me, and I didn't do anything!!! How did he even get a plaque that looks like mine??? I had mine with me all night! Right in my robe!"

...And you sleep like a log that snores. Added Wu Yang to himself. Wait...did he just say that he had been searching for the danqing killer for over a month? what had the danqing killer to do with him unless...wait, back then...could it be? ...oops.

"...But you left your plaque by the lake last night?" Asked Wu Yang in confusion.

"Not the Red Dragon Palace one!" Screamed Bo Longwei in annoyance, before realizing his mistake. "Ahem, I meant, um, another one, I like to keep on me as a keepsake..."

How exactly was such a numskull the feared leader of the Black Market?

Wu Yang finished tying up the master's robes and went to set up his hair as well, trying to manage the overly spiky hair to the best of his ability, which was incredibly difficult

Bo Longwei admired himself in the mirror. "How are you so good at dressing me up, Jiaojiao? You make me look so dignified every time!"

You think it's easy??? Complained Wu Yang in his mind. He had to put out all the efforts of many years of practice in disguise to manage just this one man. Who told the guy to have muscles that bulged out randomly, or hair that spiked, or eye brows that liked to overgrow?

Bo Longwei realized something. "You know, I don't see you other than for my bath in the morning, what are you doing?"

You just realized now...You spent an entire soul contract on me, and you completely forgot about me till now...Should I feel disappointed or disappointed?

Wu Yang bowed politely. "I was put on some other smaller duties, due to vacancies..."

He couldn't exactly say he was in charge of the latrine and had to take out excrement every day, plus clean the kitchens, halls, take out trash, and even clean the grounds, right?

Bo Longwei thought again. "This doesn't work, I don't have a soul contract with barely any other servants (there's more of them?), so I might as well make better use of you, from now on, you're my personal attendant!"

"That would be an honor master...Only, if you'd talk.."

But he was interrupted by Bo Longwei. "No arguments here! I'm the master, I don't care how great your past work was, from now on, you'll have to stand at my side to do anything I ask!

Wu Yang sighed to himself, he just wanted to ask Bo Longwei to inform the head servant about the change in duties, so that there wouldn't be any problems with sending others into his old spots, but whatever, it's not like he can help it, what comes comes. he quickly followed the master down, unable to clean the room now.

There were few servants running about as in the past, since they had been put on other duties, as the head servant found out Wu Yang had a knack for cleaning and put more of the cleaning and washing duties on him.

They arrived at the dining room, where they were greeted by the sight of Bo Longwei's parents. Bo Longwei immediately sat at the head seat, his father to the right, and his mother to the left. As the master of Red Dragon now, he held the most authority in the house, and after a battle for rights with his son, his father had become a cripple in martial arts and was now weaker than the average man.

Min Song took a break from the meal to glance at Wu Yang standing quietly behind Bo Longwei with some warm wine, hardly hiding his badly bruised disposition. "Did you make your new servant an aid?"

"Yes!" Bo Longwei proudly declared. "It was about time I had an extra hand about me at all times, and since he's still inexperienced, he's a perfect choice!"

Min Song gave him a complicated look. "You did tell the head servant..."

Right at that moment, a messenger came in to kneel at the table.

"Masters! Mistress!"

Bo Longwei looked at him in annoyance. "What is the meaning of this?"

The messenger looked up anxiously. He knew that they didn't like getting disturbed during the family meal. "Masters, Mistress, the imperial palace has announced that they will be holding a banquet for the emperor's birthday in a week's time and wishes that the Red Dragon Palace would attend!"
