Ventimiglia gestured toward the city, and Conradin's keen eyes followed the direction. The king's lips curved into a light chuckle, a wry amusement at the premature celebration unfolding within the city walls. Despite the chaos of battle, the unexpected turn of events added a touch of irony to the unfolding siege. 

King Conradin, his eyes fixed on the looming city walls, turned in his saddle to address Rashid, the head engineer . The air was charged with anticipation as Conradin's deep voice resonated across the field of war.

"Rashid," he called out, his tone carrying both authority and expectation, "is it ready?"
