The late afternoon sun cast long shadows across the royal halls of the palace, painting a warm, golden hue on the tapestries that adorned the walls. Amidst this serene atmosphere, a servant, his breath hurried and face flushed, approached the grand doors leading to King Conradin's chambers. With a quick yet respectful knock, he awaited permission to enter.

"Enter," came the king's composed voice from within. The servant pushed open the heavy doors and stepped into the room. Inside, King Conradin sat at ahead of a table, a leather-bound book in his hands. His piercing blue eyes, usually sharp with focus, now looked up, momentarily distracted from his reading. The book was none other than the renowned 'Tactica', a treatise on military strategy and tactics from ancient times written by Emperor Leo of the eastern roman empire .
