Falka gasped as the soldiers grabbed her up on her feet. The smug looks on their faces only filled her with an undying rage.
Her freedom was staring at her right in the face, but unfortunately, they had caught up to her and now, she was back at square one. Hopeless and trapped.
"Where do you think you are going, princess?" One of the soldiers sneered as he grabbed her chin violently. His fingers dug into her skin, but Falka couldn't feel any pain, the only thing she felt was an insufferable amount of failure washing down on her.
Tears stung her eyes as she recoiled in hopelessness. The reality that she was never going to escape her cruel fate of being born differently in a vile world made her heart crush. Her despair turned to fury.
Falka's lethal gaze was unwavering on them as she inhaled sharply, teeth gnashing angrily against one another.
"Let me go!" She yelled as she struggled against their steely grip.
