Shifting to the side, she paved the way for him to come inside. As he steps in, his gaze lingers on her face for a few seconds before he finally breaks the silence.
"Are you alright?" He asks, his voice gentle with a flicker of concern in it.

A feigned smile played upon Malika's lips as she delicately traced the intricate patterns on the armrest of her chair. "It's nothing, Zamiel, merely the weight of the mortal world's affairs that preoccupies my thoughts."
