She proceeded to visit Malika as she went back into the Castle. While she strolled across the corridors, she came across a few maids who halted the moment they saw her.
They bowed, but she could see their body shake with fear and their heartpace elevated all of a sudden. Immediately they bowed, they scurried out of hesightts.
She wondered what was wrong with their behavior until she heard them whispering, but with her heightened senses, she could easily make out the words.
"She's been turned into a vampire... Oh my God." One of the maids whispered while the other tried to shush her up.
"She's become a monster like the rest of them." Another spoke in a distinct whisper.
"I can't believe it, she was the queen of a human Empire." They continued to murmur and gasp in disbelief as they left.
