As the demon prince wandered through the forest with his servants, after finding his beasts, he could sense something was off.
They didn't go back instantly after gaining his pets, but they randomly wandered around in the forest.
He felt a disturbance in the air, as if something had disrupted the natural balance of the world. Curious, he followed the vibes until he stumbled upon a small village, which was in shambles. Chaos and destruction had taken over- houses were burned down, and bodies of villagers lay on the ground, lifenatural balance of the forest. Intrigued by this feeling, he followed the pull of the energy until he stumbled upon a scene of horror.
The sounds of screams and clashes of steel filled the air as he came upon a small village that was under attack from a lich and his minions. Fires roared and buildings were destroyed as the demon prince watched from the shadows.
He was an observer of the world, a demon prince who had never felt any compassion or empathy for any living being. He stood there, watching the destruction and death, devoid of emotion, until he heard a faint voice coming from the nearby trees. Curiosity got the better of him and he went to investigate the source of the sound.
As he approached, he saw a figure lying on the ground, bleeding and helpless. It was a beautiful elf woman, her once radiant skin was now sallow and lifeless.
The demon prince felt a jolt of unexpected emotion as he watched her struggle to stay alive, her eyes slowly growing dim. Something about her fragile state sparked something within him. He felt the urge to help her, to save her from the death that threatened to claim her.
He picked the elf up into his strong arms and carried her to a nearby tree, laying her down gently. As he examined her injuries, he noticed a deep gash in her side that was causing her to bleed out.
Without thinking, the demon prince used his powers to heal her injuries. He could feel the mana inside him flowing out of him and into the elf, her wounds healing before his eyes. It was a strange feeling, but he couldn't stop himself from helping her.
When the elf finally regained consciousness, she was surprised to find herself alive, much less in the embrace of a demon prince. Despite her initial shock, she knew enough of the world to at least thank him for his intervention.
"Thank you for saving me," the elf weakly whispered, her voice barely above a whisper. "I am forever in your debt."
The demon prince nodded, saying nothing in return. In that moment, he didn't care about debts or favours. He only knew that he couldn't leave this woman alone in the forest, vulnerable to further attacks.
He decided to take her with him and away from the destruction of the village. As he carried her through the woods, the demon prince couldn't help but feel a strange connection to this elf. He had saved her life, but for what purpose did he not know.
Suddenly an idea came to him, causing him to say the words: "Will you become my first wife?"
