He was greedy for every single information about this thing they call living. How was it made? How did it come to this? Many other questions flood his mind.
Taking advantage of his own immortality as a deity, he did everything. He conducted researches by himself, wrote countless books about topics that piqued his interest, and experimented for his own amusement.
He was the eye of this storm called universe, the Deity of Void.
He was known by many names, but the most common name they address him is…
"YVES! You have outdone yourself once again!" an angel exclaimed the moment he slammed the door to a wide study. "Conducting illegal researches and experiments, placing your hands on top-class information, and now slowly figuring out everything about existence without permission from the Council!"
The angel stated everything as if what the deity had done were actual crimes when he never harmed a single living thing.
"You've gone crazy! Do you have no plans of stopping at all?!" the angel shouts. Other angels soon swarmed the whole door way, as if to block it.
Yves had a wide grin on his face. He was standing by the window behind his desk. He closed the book he was reading and faced them. "Sorry not sorry, fucker," he stated.
Despite his dark and professional nature, he was just a cocky little brat who's too childish for his own good.
"The Council has warned you long enough! We have come here to capture you in their order," the angel took out his sword. "Do forgive me if I may be a little rough capturing a criminal."
Yves' smirk did not leave his lips. However, he raised both hands
"Let's see how angels like you can go against a deity," he stated, and with the snap of his fingers, the thick wall behind him was destroyed. The second they took their eyes off him, he was gone.
"QUICK! Find him! We can't face the Council without him!"
And so the chase begun...
However, it wasn't that long until they actually caught him. Yves walked with a pissed expression. His hands were chained down with restraints that are used only for deities like him, oh and, it was also his invention. He was surrounded by the angels.
The angels have expected him to hold back against them, because Yves had made rules and values for himself that he strictly follows. It was strange for such a childish deity to have such rules for himself in the first place, but it was convenient as he was too powerful for angels to go against.
One value of his is to never ever use his powers against living beings. The Council knows of that and has now used it against him.
"The sinner has entered the court!"
As announced, they have entered the court, to be used only for certain criminals. There, the said Council sat and looked down on him. There were a total of three deities here, all equally powerful as him.
Yves' expression improved. He was smiling. "Well, well, well... it's been centuries since I last saw your ugly faces. How have you been faring?"
The Deity of Death raised a brow at him and said, "Do you have no shame? You have broken all the rules we have set for you! Are you this willing to die?!"
"Do I have no shame?" Yves asked and laughed. "Have you asked and thought of why you're capturing a deity who has done nothing but contribute to this divine kingdom?!"
"We've already given you enough chances, however, it's time you stop," The Deity of Life stated with a calm yet firm voice.
Yves became somewhat frustrated. 'Do they have no gratitude?!'
"Why?! I gave you all knowledge! I gave you my inventions and researches! I gave you everything!"
Deities were meant to be alone, he's engraved that in his mind. However, him giving everything he's ever invented, discovered, and done for the sake of this divine kingdom… was his own form of love.
"Yet all of you ungrateful fucks, are trying to kill me!"
"You've done enough."
A cold voice rang his ear. It was the Deity of Light. Yves looked at him in the eyes, full of frustration and anger.
'I've done enough…?' Yves trailed off a thought. That somewhat...calmed him down. It was as if a cold bucket of water washed over him. The next second they knew, his eyes became completely blank.
"If you think I've done enough, then you're completely mistaken."
The angels were clearly intimidated by his words, but the deities remained calm. They've already made up their mind to get rid of him once and for all. Not a single word from him can fazed them.
"Place him on the platform," the deities have commanded, but before they could even go near him. Yves himself walked to the platform. The same platform he made to execute deities and the kind.
It was imbued with his own power, nothingness, and even the Deity of Void himself won't be able to avoid it.
Yves remained silent until they have started activating the magic circle engraved around the platform. It began to glow white light.
The deities looked at him perplexed and suspicious of his tame actions. 'He's that willing to die now? Is this for real?'
Their thoughts were soon interrupted as Yves was seen smiling.
"Let's never meet again," they heard him say, and they only begun to realize that something was wrong. Strange magic energy started to emit from his own body.
The deities rose from their seats in complete shock. The Deity of Death quickly moved on his own and jumped to where Yves is. But Yves was smiling.
"Too late, bitch."
The second the platform activated, the Deity of Death was blown away… and a body with no soul or energy was left lying on the platform.
"He's not dead yet…" the Deity of Life commented in pure shock. She can still feel his energy… but it was slowly leaving her radar. "Hurry and find him!" she shouts in panic.
"It's no use!" the Deity of Light exclaimed out of frustration. "That damned imbecile has escaped!"
With his hands balling to a fist, he can feel his blood boiling.
'Yves… I WILL TAKE YOU DOWN! Even if it's the last thing I do!'
