Ethan volunteers to drive so I can listen to him talk while we drive back to my house.
"So you weren't ignoring me these last couple weeks," I ask.
He laughs.
"No I wasn't trying to. I'm sorry if that is how it felt. I was so focused on making sure everything was in order at home and was nervous that I wouldn't be able to organize everything I need to by today."
"What were you doing if I may ask and why did it have to be done by today?"
"Did you forget that I promised to introduce you to my whole family during the weekend?"
"Would you be mad at me if I say I did?"
He laughs.
"No, it's okay. I wanted everything to be perfect when I took you with me today, so I tried to get everything together the first few days but it ended up taking longer. I really didn't mean to make you feel ignored at all."
"It's okay. I understand but next time can you just tell me what's going on."
"Sure, I promise I will."
"Okay good."
