I rub the tears falling from my eyes as I open them to find myself laying down on a sofa. Slowly I sit up and look around to see I am in my father’s wooden cabin.
“Why am I here?”
I try to stretch my arms, but groan as my limbs feel so rigid and stiff.
“You’re finally awake.”
I look up to watch my father walk in through the front door.
“How long was I out of it?”
He sighs, “I would say a little over twenty-four hours. We couldn't get you to wake up no matter what we tried.”
“We?”
He nods his head toward the floor beside me. I look down by the sofa to see a gray wolf laying on the rug on the wooden floor. Immediately I cover my mouth to stop the gasp from coming out. I turn back toward my dad with a confused expression.
“Why is Ethan in his wolf form,” I whisper, making sure not to wake him up.
