After learning that Gwen had fainted, Ulric immediately suspended a meeting with a wealthy Middle Eastern businessman and rushed out of the conference room.
"Sorry, my wife is in the hospital now."
An hour later, Ulric appeared at the door of the hospital room, panting.
Gwen has always been a healthy and energetic person, and she rarely fell ill. For as long as Ulric could remember, Gwen only had stomach pains when she ate erratically, but since her stomach had recovered a lot under his care, Ulric couldn't understand why she fainted.
Is she sick? And he was such a careless husband that he didn't even notice it.
"Gwen!" Ulric yelled as he pushed open the door.
But there was no one in the room, just Gwen's Hermès bag on the sofa.
Ulric's mind was more disturbed, and he wanted to see her now, to make sure she was all right.
“There you are.” Gwen's voice rang behind him.
"Oh, honey, are you okay?" Ulric held her shoulders nervously, his eyes wandering over her body.
