"I-" Lydia had imagined many of Vince's first words when he woke up, but never expected them to be this one.
Lydia's hesitation angered Vince.
In Vince's eyes, young women always approached him with an ulterior motive. They did their best to please him and wanted to create some gossip.
He narrowed his eyes and said again, "Get out!"
Lydia, still not fully over the excitement of Vince's awakening and shocked by the sudden surprise, could not speak now.
How could Vince not know her? They had loved each other so much.
Lydia's mind was a mess and she decided to get out of here first and seek Gwen's help.
She stood up carefully.
Vince found out she was pregnant. His face eased a bit and his voice softened, "I'm never alone in a room with a woman. Although I don't know who you are, it's my rule, please leave."
Lydia bowed her head and left.
Vince looked at Lydia's back and felt something familiar, but couldn't remember anything.
