During the night, Lydia had a few nightmares and she woke up with a start.
"It's okay." A man hugged her, patted her back and comforted her.
"Vince, is that you?" Lydia shouted his name happily. She clung to Vince's arm, afraid that he was just a phantom that would soon disappear.
"It's me." Vince kissed her forehead, "It's okay, I just went to the police station to make some statements. I've encountered a lot of difficult things when I was in business before. It's OK, don't you worry."
Thinking about Iris's miscarriage and Bernice's sick face, Lydia felt worried. "Why is this happening? We've never bought jewelry with radiation in it. Why?"
"Don't think too much, I'll handle this." Vince lulled Lydia to sleep like a child. He hummed a song to her as he sorted through the incident in his head.
Obviously, this was a premeditated frame-up.
