Sibyl’s POV
I took Lowa's hand and walked quickly through the busy streets of the city. Even at dusk, the streets are still bustling with people, roadside restaurants have begun to open. If I wasn't so preoccupied with this horrible thing, I'd have been in there with Lowa.
Finally, just before dinner, we knocked on Wayde's door in the sunset. He lives in a three-story house with a large garden less than three kilometers from the Rodriguez family castle. It was given to Wayde by Nuri's father. There is some distance from the palace. Nuri had offered him a house closer to the palace and more luxurious, but he refused. Nuri was touched by his memory of her father.
"Who are you?" A boy of about ten ran out of the house and stood in the garden, looking at us curiously. His eyes were big and round, as nimble as a deer, and full of curiosity about the outside world.
