Sibyl’s POV
The high mountains reach into the sky, and behind them are narrow roads. Our soldiers have gone through it three times to make sure not a single seed has been missed. The falls fell from the high cliffs and splashed in the clear pools. I have to say, the noise is very disturbing.
"Your Majesty, as rude as it is, I have to ask, are you sure Beowulf is here?"
Roth didn't try to hide his confusion, looking straight at me.
What a simple-minded guy with big muscles! Amy had taken a fancy to him, and I began to worry about my maid's taste. But for Amy's sake, I don't blame him.
"Roth! I don't think that's the way to treat a queen," Nuri said, frowning at his loyal men. He always defends me like that, no matter who I face.
"Sibyl, how do you know that he's near the waterfall? The road here is very rugged. I think it would be difficult for a group of wounded men, even warriors, to escape from the pursuers here."
