Selene’s POV
Back in the bedroom, I ran to the closet, grabbed a clean set of clothes, and was ready to rush out.
"Where are you going?" He grabbed my arm.
"I... I'm going to take a shower," I stammered.
"I have my own bathroom." Then he carried me on his shoulder.
My maid turned away from us.
I was angry and ashamed, but I didn't dare to shout, so I let him take me to the next bathroom.
As we entered the bathroom, the heat blurred my vision. I saw the figures of several maids swaying before me.
"Get out, all of you, and no one can come in without my permission," Beowulf said to the maid.
"Yes, Your Highness." The maids left the house.
"Put me down," I said angrily.
He led me into the bathroom and put me on a soft mat.
I quickly got up and crossed my arms in a defensive posture.
He laughed. "Don't be afraid. Just take a bath. I won't do anything else."
I didn't believe him and still looked at him warily.
