Selene’s POV
He walked slowly into the bedroom, to the closet, and began to take off his coat.
I can only hold my breath and dare not make any noise. The only sounds in the room were the rustling of clothes and the burning of candles.
It's too quiet. It makes me even more nervous.
"How are you feeling?" He changed into his pajamas and turned to look at me.
His tall body blocked the light of the candle, and I felt more like a prey that had fallen into a trap.
I moved carefully to the inside of the bed. "I'm fine... Oh, no, I'm still dizzy..."
Before I could finish, his big hand covered my forehead again. "You don't have a fever anymore. Get some rest. I've prepared a maid for you. You don't have to do any cleaning work from now on. You're the master, not the servant."
I bit my lip, not knowing how to answer him. After a few seconds of hesitation, I whispered, "Thank you. I can take care of myself."
