Beowulf’s POV
I'm telling the truth.
Although I have believed her innocence, this does not mean that her situation will be better.
I will not spare the a.dultery women and soldiers. I need to use their blood to warn everyone that I will not allow anything dirty to happen in the army and the palace.
However, it can also get her into trouble. People would talk about why she was in that room and not punished. She will be the center of the conversation and the object of speculation. All the rumors and malice would follow her like a shadow.
Well, I do not care about these things. All I care about is whether the bad guys get punished, and if other people get warned about it. I only care about the result, and I don't care if anyone is wronged in the process.
