Nuri’s POV
I knew Sibyl was lying on the bed in my tent, so I walked back to the tent much faster than usual.
As a knight, I was used to living in the army. For me, a simple tent is my second home. As long as I can sleep, every tent is the same to me.
But today is different. I saw my tent in the distance. Its outline dimmed in the darkness, as if a hook were clinging to me, forcing me to hurry closer to it.
I trotted over to the tent, paused at the door, looked around, made sure no one saw me in such a hurry, and then took a deep breath and walked calmly inside.
The room was quiet, with only a candle burning. A flame throbbed slightly, and the shadows of the objects in the room swayed with it.
The bed in the corner was in shadow. All I could see was the bulge on the bed, not Sibyl's face.
I walked slowly, deliberately, close to the bed, and began to undress slowly.
