In the evening, when I was done with my bath, Amy applied a lotion made of Osmanthus to my body.
She ran her fingers gently around my skin, “Your grace, Azariah has left the capital. She did not sleep with Sir Rodriguez and she was not pregnant. This is all part of her conspiracy. I believe Sir Rodriguez is innocent,” she said.
I groomed the cat and sighed, “I know. But I saw him naked in bed with Azariah that day. Although I believe they didn't have s.ex, I still feel sick inside. Her plan failed this time, but what if she succeeds next time? What should I do?”
Amy said: “You don't have to worry about what didn't happen. I think Sir Rodriguez loves you more than you think. Even if Azariah's scheme works, your husband will not marry her.”
