The Queen‘s POV
“Why did you do that? She was my most trusted maid. She was already engaged, and I promised her that she would leave the palace and get married when she was 22. She didn't want to sleep with you, but you still raped her!”
My chest heaved with anger.
He coughed and made what sounded like a laugh. “I am the king, and no woman can say no to me.”
I sneer. Yes, he never forgot that he was a king with supreme power.
He is the most sober and selfish person I have ever met. In order to have power forever, he devoted himself to the study of the Elixir of Life. He wanted to wear the crown forever, not even caring if his sons lived or died.
No one can live forever. He is ill now. He will die soon.
“My son... he wanted to see his father before he died, but you didn't care about him at all.” I gritted my teeth and thought again of my son's face turning red with fever.
