Reminded by Alice, I recalled that I had indeed experienced something similar when I was a child. I found a very cute puppy, and I liked it a lot.
On the day I brought it home, we had a wonderful time playing together. I even slept with it in my arms.
However, when I woke up the next day, the puppy was gone, and no one knew where it had disappeared. It had vanished from my life.
"Master, I remember that incident, but what does it have to do with my mate?" I asked, puzzled.
"What I want to convey is that the people or creatures who appear in your life are destined to be there. The connection you had with that puppy only lasted a day, but your mate is meant to be with you for a lifetime," Alice gently explained her reason for bringing up the story of the puppy. Her words eased my mood considerably.
"What's your mate's name, and how is your relationship progressing?"
