The point of gamblers den is to guarantee my victory. So how was I supposed know that NoTe is an expert at poker.
Gamblers den is really simple. We all play poker the one who wins in the end. Takes 50% of the current mana storage of the other players.
"Joker I don't know how to play poker." Reznakov whispers to me.
" Bro how old are you? What you mean you don't know how to play poker?" I whisper back.
" I'm a monk I have no business gambling." Reznakov says. That's a good point but that doesn't matter. NoTe just laid out a royal flush.
" Based off the face you just made that isn't good right?" Reznakov asks.
" He just got a royal flush. Which means we lost get ready for battle. " I say. My truth deactivates returning the surroundings back to normal. My type of truth affects the environment.
Reznakov pulls out his spear but NoTe is faster. Landing a palm strike to his nose. Then going into a sword stance and attacking me. This feels like a repeat of our last fight. Me being completely outclassed at every step.
I can't use the royal cards yet though. I just gotta trust that he won't kill me. What am I talking about? This is NoTe of course he'll Jill me.
Wait NoTe doesn't have the special eyes. Which means if he becomes blind he'll be actually blind unlike Baek.
I try taking one of his eyes but chains come out of nowhere. They wrap me up and stop me from moving.
Damnit! Why didn't I notice the chain tattoos was still there. It's fine Reznakov comes behind and they go 1on1.
Reznakov is definitely using full strength since he's using more snake like moves. Neither of them get the upper hand for a moment.
NoTe goes for a downwards sword strike but Reznakov parry's it and then tries biting NoTe? He must be a venomous snake but wait.
"Reznakov stop! NoTe and Baek are immune to all poisons that won't work!" I yell out.
It's too late NoTe hits Reznakov directly to the solar plexus and heart. Stopping not only his heart beat but his breathing as well. He puts Reznakov in a sleeper hold.
I try breaking out of the chains but it's like they have a mind of their own. Reznakov passes out. NoTe makes 4 blades of ice and stab's Reznakov in his ligaments. He hangs him up on a wall like a fucking decoration.
What is wrong with me? Why did I think it was a 2v1. When it's really a 1v2. Did I forget about what happened last time I fought NoTe?
I assumed he would have none of Baeks abilities. However, NoTe was the one in control when he gained the chains and ice abilities. So those are his. Since he hasn't used sound that must be Baeks. What was it that they called NoTe in the slums?

"Rev what's wrong?" Kendra asks.
" Reznakov mana just went dark. He's unconscious. Jokers is getting low too. " I say.
" How strong is NoTe for both of them to lose?" Kendra asks.
" I have no idea. We have something else to handle right now. There's someone fast roaming around here." I say.
" Damn you're good. I see why my brother sent me after you." A man says.
He's fast. All his mana seems to focus on his legs. Is he a speedster? If he is this might be annoying.
" Who are you?" I ask.
" My name is shamo kendrath. I'm the brother to Travis." He says.
" What's the date?" I ask.
" It's November 8th." Shamo says.
Damnit another day has passed. What the hell is Baek doing. I haven't seen Dr.Zikan for a while either. He's the most dangerous one here. His mana technique is unknown. His physical stats are unknown. His overall capabilities are all unknown
There is too many unknowns. I can't formulate a game plan.
" Rev calm down it's okay. Me and you are at full power. I'm sure Reznakov and Joker have analyzed NoTe's fighting style fully. That is why you kept sending those two after him right. " Kendra says.
" Hah you know me so well. Yeah you're right things will be fine." I say back.
"Let's subdue this dude and just find Dr.Zikan." I say.
" What the hell? Do I look like an easy target to you?!" Shamo says angrily.
Kendra just blitz's him. Strikes him in the groin with her hammer. It sends him flying through the roof into the sky.
I follow them out. I finally can see the army that's waiting for us. It's the Kendrath family they are preparing for war. They don't know they Kendra is about to start a riot.
It's a reason I've been avoiding letting Kendra fight. She enjoys it too much.
***Kendra
"Is that all you got Shamo?" I ask.
" You got lucky. It won't happen again." Shamo says.
Shamo is really a speedster. His fighting style focuses on his legs. Is it taekwondo?
Well he is a speedster but he's slow. Compared me. I should force him to lead us to Travis though. That's what Rev would want.
I break the ground in fractures and it stuns Shamo. I send him flying with a hammer strike. He bounces off a couple trees before hitting the beach.
"Shit what the hell. That monster girl." Shamo says before running off.
I doubt he's used full strength but he'll still run away because of the damage. The most likely place he'll run to will be will be back to Travis.
" Hey after he leads us back to Travis I'll handle him you handle Travis " Rev says.
" I thought you wanted to fight Travis?" I ask.
" It feels weird fighting someone my teacher thought of as a father." Rev says.
"Plus I feel like there will be someone more dangerous than NoTe or Dr.Zikan coming here." Rev says.
