Chapter 15 - Heart

I laid down, thinking it was the best position to focus all my attention on one thing: applying the aura to my heart.

It's a strange sensation, I feel like there's a wrapping around my heart. Oddly enough, this wrapping doesn't bother me, but can I use this membrane of aura to stimulate my heartbeat?

"Uh-huh!"

I fucking went too hard, I thought I was going to crush my heart. I'm not going to be discouraged by one poor squashed heart, let's try a little softer and see.

Wow, I can feel my pulse racing if I squeeze my heart between two natural beats. Bet I'm all red at the moment because of all the blood flow coming at a speed that can't be equalled until now. Maintaining this acceleration of the heartbeat requires a lot of concentration because if I'm not constant I'll find myself pressing when my heart naturally contracts, which gives me the impression of a heart attack.

I'm going to try to keep up this acceleration for as long as possible, i.e. a minute or so at my current level.

"I can see that you've instinctively understood how to use your heart to improve its capacity, so you're now going to do the same thing while walking."

Honestly, I'm not very confident about this exercise, given the concentration required when we're standing still. But we've always been able to pass the training given in the day so I'm not worried.

12pm:

"Stop there, we're going to eat and debrief a bit of the morning."

"I think the difference in difficulty between the exercises is too great, it's going to take us a long time just to learn how to manipulate the aura over our heart while we're walking."

"If that's the only problem you're having then you're on the right track, just be aware that learning to properly manipulate the basics of the aura takes patience and rigour. So it's normal for the exercises suggested to sometimes take you several days. Don't worry, the sessions on mastering the heart will be separated by the same sessions as the previous ones, it's not because you've managed to do a push-up or a burpee that you've finished. You're lucky enough already, you're progressing faster than the average."

"If you say so chief."

At the end of the two training weeks:

"We're out of money, chief, and we want you to keep teaching us, we haven't managed to run while using the aura on our heart and legs simultaneously yet."

"I've told you kids, I only asked for one thing, housing and food, but I've got a way for you to earn some easy money."

"Easy money? My parents always told me there was no such thing as easy money."

"Your parents are right, except for people who work hard because everything gets easier when you work hard everyday."

"So what is this way, chief?"

"The coliseum."
