Anyone would have called Olivier a fool for declining such a good offer. Here Dan was, offering Olivier exactly what he wanted, but Olivier was still willing to decline this.
As good as this offer looked on the surface, it was nothing more than a honeypot of doom in the future. There was a reason Merry Maker had not won any championships or even made a top 4 appearance in the league.
And it had nothing to do with the team itself and everything to do with their management. Olivier did not think he could take it being under such stiffening management.
"K-Kid, what the hell are you saying? You are being offered a place on the team by Dan and you are declining?"
The manager looked to be the one most shocked by Olivier's refusal. The manager should be happy to see Olivier declining to want to be on the team, but the shock factor was a little greater than expected.
