Chapter 108 - Ch 108. Gangsters

Lifting his foot to the top of the concrete steps, Yao turned around and stretched out his right hand towards the exhausted Asuna.

"Thank you."

Perhaps it was because her physical strength were about to reach the critical point, her voice was a little limp, and when she came up, she grabbed Yao's shoulder with her left hand, panting slightly.

"Lets find a place to rest."

Yao took out a tissue and handed it to her, then raised his hand and patted her on the back to help her ease her breathing.

From about six o'clock in the morning to now when the sun is hanging in the very center of the sky, the two of them had already traveled for several hours.

Coupled with the fact that the typhoon had just left, the zombies who had been starving for a few days has become extremely ferocious.

"Is there any place to rest nearby?"

After wiping off the sweaty forehead with a napkin, Asuna added worriedly, "If there is none, I can hold on for a while."

Yao did not speak, took out the binoculars and began to observe the surrounding conditions.

He searched for a while, and found that apart from some rusty scrapped cars and zombies wandering around, there was only a small convenience store with broken glass door as a suitable place to rest.

"You don't have to make a move, just follow me."

Holding the blood-stained blade in his hand, Yao walked towards the store.

Whenever a zombie was about to approach the two of them, he would swing his blade and behead it.

The blood splashing and gushing in the air forced Asuna who was following him to distance herself a bit.

After Yao cleaned up all the zombies in the store, she finally breathed a sigh of relief and found a clean place to sit down.

"How far is it from here to the Yukinoshita camp?" Yao sat beside her and handed over the mineral water bottle he had just found in the store.

"Hmm..." Asuna roughly calculated the distance in her heart, and smiled wryly, "It's  still very far. If we continue at this speed, we would probably arrive tomorrow night."

Looking at the street outside the convenience store, Yao nodded and didn't ask any more questions.

If they can find a car at this time, the time and energy spent on the road would be greatly reduced.

But Chiba is much better than Tokyo. The humans here reacted much faster. The two of them tried to find cars along the way, but they found nothing except those rusty and scrapped vehicles.

After a week-long typhoon, finding a car that can start at this time is tantamount to a wishful thinking.

"Let's eat something first."

Since this is the reality, Yao didn't think about it any more, and took out two cans of beef from the system space and handed them to her, while he gnawed the more common compressed biscuits and drank a big mouthful of water from time to time.

"Yao-kun...Why don't you eat meat?"

"You can eat, I don't have any appetite for meat right now."

Yao looked at the opened can in her hand and felt a little nauseous.

Being completely exposed to the blood rain for two times, his sense of smell is very sensitive, and at this moment his nostrils were filled with the decaying smell of zombies.

If he ate meat under such circumstances, he probably wouldn't be in a good mood today.

"All right..."

Seeing that he seemed to be a little bit resistant, Asuna didn't think much about it, she picked up a piece with her hand and put it in her mouth to chew carefully.

The chewy taste brightened her eyes, and she glanced at Yao who was was sideway, with a playful smile on her face.

"Yao-kun, open your mouth, say ah..."

Looking at the chunks of beef dangling in front of his eyes, Yao smiled helplessly, opened his mouth, took the chunks of beef and her tender white thumb and index finger stained with a little juice in his mouth.

"Yao-kun...you!" Asuna's face was slightly red, but she didn't pull back her hand, letting his tongue gently lick her fingers.

This feeling was a little itchy.

The two kept this posture and looked at each other. Just as the air was gradually stained with a touch of pink ambiguity, there were a few slight footsteps outside the convenience store.

"Damn it, are these zombies drugged? They are so fierce today!"

"Hey, don't mention it, if we can't find anything good today, the boss will definitely drive his well-polished motorcycle and run after our ass."

"Okay! Cheepy, hurry up and find out if there is something to eat here. I will see if the group of zombies have left. The motorcycle we lost must be taken back."

"Don't move!"

The voices stopped abruptly, followed by a low voice filled with infinite excitement.

Yao let go of her fingers, and looked indifferently at the four pistols aimed at them at the door of the store.

The clothes on these four people were extremely fancy, their hair were dyed colorfully, making them look very flamboyant. In addition to the information revealed by these people when they talked just now, Yao could somewhat guess their identities.

"Yao-kun...what should we do now?"

Being pointed at by four guns, Asuna was a little anxious, but she didn't dare to pick up the rifle that was put aside, in fear that they would shoot.

"That woman!"

A ferocious-looking man among the four people on the opposite side sneered, "Don't think about picking that gun, the guns in our hands are not just for display, or do you want to test whether there are any bullets in my gun?"

"What do you want?"

Looking at these guys who looked like punks, Yao asked indifferently.

"Throw the rifle over here! You brat, don't  try to hide the pistol in your waist."

"And those two cans also!" A sharp-eyed yellow hair added.

Looking at the expressionless little man beside her, Asuna hesitated, obviously not wanting to just hand over the weapon in her hands.

"Give it to them."

After finishing speaking, Yao threw the pistol in his holster casually.

Seeing that he had made his statement, although Asuna was a little reluctant, she still followed suit. Under the vigilant eyes of the four gangsters, she slowly threw the rifle at their feet.

"Hehe, that's right."

Yellow hair, who had just spoke, was relieved and finally showed a wicked smile.

"Now we can talk about business."

The two gangsters who hadn't spoken all this time looked excited, and each bent down to pick up the guns.

Seeing this, the ferocious-looking man also put down the gun in his hand, and said in a playful tone:

"Okay, brat, then you can choose for yourself, whether to commit suicide or let me help you with it."

"Ah."

Yao chuckled, and without waiting for the four of them to react, a QBZ-95 rifle appeared out of thin air in his hand.

"It's better for you to die."
