"Put these bracelets on your wrist before you enter. If you want to leave, press the button." The Spirit Pagoda worker explained seriously, paying no attention to the strangely warry looks on the children. It wasn't something surprising, all first timers acted that way.
The Spirit Ascension Platform was a creation that most people couldn't understand and therefore they instinctively feared it, it was only natural. He himself was the same back before he was transferred to this division, he himself thought it was an overexaggerated hoax.
But the children in front of him were different. They didn't doubt the technology, they had already experienced something similar in the Challenge Hall, instead, they doubted him and the organization he worked for.
'There is nothing here.' Wulin determined, glancing at his other half who nodded lightly before signaling to the others what he had discovered. It wasn't surprising by any means but it was certainly relieving.
All of them had a fairly high spiritual power however Wulin and Gu Yuena had by far the best of the group, even rivaling their teacher or surpassing it in Gu Yuena's case. Because of that, they were entrusted with scanning for any danger.
Their teacher could tell them as well but he generally left things like this up to them whenever possible. He had checked himself but he wouldn't tell them to force them to figure it out themselves.
It was also harder for him to relay the information with all the attention being on him as a powerful cultivator that wasn't affiliated and seemed to be hostile to the Spirit Pagoda. In comparison, it was easy for the young group of geniuses to do it.
"Lay down in the machine and relax your body. You'll feel a small tug but that's normal." The Spirit Pagoda worker explained with practiced ease, four pods emerging out of the wall for them to enter.
The pods themselves were fairly unassuming if luxurious but behind them was where the real magic happened. Arrays and technology merged together perfectly in a complex ballad of human ingenuity built over thousands of years.
'I'll send these to Seto.' Wulin decided simply. It most likely wouldn't allow them to have their own version as it was merely a connector to the main 'server' but if Seto could backtrack it perhaps they could make their own back door entrance.
It would most likely be something easily discovered however Wulin trusted Seto to find a workaround with Imort's help. Perhaps Hakm's medical knowledge could be of use as well to improve the mental damage associated with the experience.
"Thank you for the help." Gu Yuena said with a small smile, a blush appearing on the worker's cheeks. She didn't want to speak to him, however, if she wanted to become the Pagoda Master, a good reputation from a young age would be helpful.
Glaring at the worker as he passed for reasons unknown to himself Wulin laid down in the pod and relaxed his body as it was slowly returned into the wall. Closing his eyes but keeping his spiritual power focused he felt a small tugging on his mind as a more spiritual form of his body appeared in the main server.
Immediately he took note of how realistic everything was, it was like another world entirely. The only flaw he could notice would be the lack of heaven and earth energies as they were difficult to replicate by mortal hands.
'We've all been separated by roughly 5 km. We'll have no problem staying in our own areas.' Wulin thought to himself. For a cultivator, 5 km wasn't an overly large distance but it was enough to where they could stay out of each other's way but help each other if necessary.
Normally, staying separated wouldn't be a wise decision however they were all monsters in their own right, they didn't need the protection of one another. Instead, their presence would hinder one another's progress.
This wasn't a decision of their own making, it was a training plan created by Wu Zhangkong to maximize their individual growth. It wasn't a particularly creative plan however it was extremely gutsy due to the intrinsic danger of the Spirit Ascension Platform.
They may be strong enough to mostly ignore the threat of the outskirts of the platform however that did not mean everyone could, rather it was because they were monsters of the highest caliber that such a courageous plan could be enacted without a hitch.
Mu Xi, the current highest ranked yet weakest of them all, had the power of the sun at her beck and call. Her flames, while not at the level of the sun, were nearly reaching the level of ultimate fire and her other attributes were not weak either even if she did not train them extensively.
Xie Xie could become intangible at will, teleport relatively freely, and could even control time on a limited scale. At the moment, his control over time was extremely weak and he could only truly use it when aided by his second spirit ring.
Gu Yuena could control all seven basic elements and could even utilize the power of creation as she pleased. Control over all seven basic elements was a powerful force however what truly made her the rival of Tang Wulin the Walking Natural Disaster, was her ability to use their derivatives.
Using her overwhelming affinity for light she could control the holy element, from her control of darkness she could control all evil attributes, from water she could control ice, and from fire she could manipulate plasma, a lower form of lightning, and so on.
With time, she would even be able to control Heavenly Thunder itself though that required Wulin to be able to produce it using his forging abilities first. Controlling the Heavenly Thunder was something the Dragon God himself had failed and yet she was confident she would succeed.
Just as Wulin had surpassed the Dragon God meagerly in terms of pure physical strength she would soon surpass their creator in her own way. She was generally overlooked because of Wulin's tyrannical presence but she was no weaker than he was.
As for Wulin… well the fame of the second Golden Dragon King didn't need to be explained.
