Chapter 111 - Smiling Baldy

Once again sitting at the coffee shop Wulin hummed thoughtfully as he pondered the issue. It would be a simple issue to solve if he just entered |Level 1| but he didn't want to. He didn't particularly care that he would be taking the easy road but instead that he would be wasting an opportunity to grow stronger.

How many things in this world could make him feel physically insufficient, how many things could truly make him feel like there was no other way than to rely on the power of his predecessor? With the exception of combat, Wulin couldn't think of any.

Now there was one standing before him, the chance to grow once again sitting before him just waiting to be conquered. Did he want to take the easy path and breeze through it or did he want to struggle and grow?

"Did I even have a choice?" Chuckling softly Wulin mumbled softly to himself, the image of that lovely silver hair flashing in his mind. She wouldn't take the easy path so why would he? He was meant to be her equal, the one who could understand her when all others couldn't. If he took the easy path, he may as well spit on his love while he was at it.

However, that wasn't to say he had a proper plan on how to go about it. There was something he could try but unless the universe wanted to allow him to use his |Level 4| for the entire month he'd be here that wasn't really an option.

"Hey, brother! You've got a strong body!" Laughing joyfully a large man sat across from Wulin without any tact. The 'man' was actually quite a bit older than Wulin thought at around eighteen or so but it was hard to tell with his size.

Wulin was fairly tall for his age but he found it difficult to feel that way when the man in front of him was almost twice his height. He was around eight feet tall or so and broad enough that the chair that Wulin believed to be large and comfortable was actually far too small for him.

He was bald and his muscles were larger than most people's bodies which would normally make him seem imposing but the silly smile on his face made that difficult. His body was strong, not as much as Wulin just yet but the fact that he was comparable at all while remaining solely human was monstrous in its own right.

"I could say the same to you. I don't think I've ever seen somebody as tall as you." Chuckling with a wry smile Wulin was truly amazed at the sheer size of the man before him. It was absurd that he still had a little more time to grow and was still this tall.

"Of course! If I wasn't tall and strong I'd just be bald!" Laughing at his own words the man was odd but friendly, an amused smile crossing Wulin's features. He wasn't somebody Wulin would usually interact with, especially not a few years ago, but right now he needed a bit of amusement in his life.

"I'm Tang Wulin, a student at Shrek." Introducing himself with his hand outstretched Wulin didn't mind the fact that he wasn't technically a student just yet. Details like those didn't need to be said and it didn't seem like the man in front of him would care for the details.

"The name's Ah Ruheng, the heir of the Bod—Oops. Hey, can you keep that a secret?" Quietly whispering his request as though he didn't want to be heard Ah Ruheng was slightly late but Wulin didn't feel like mentioning it. He had far more interesting things to speak about.

"You're from that sect? I guess I should've guessed when you have such a strong body." Smiling amicably Wulin was pondering how to get the Body Sect's training method out of this guy. If he had something like that Wulin felt like he could bypass the Middle Realm and then some.

"Ah, that's right! I actually wanted to ask how you got such a strong body yourself! Your body is so small but I can tell that I wouldn't be able to compare." Brimming with excitement Ah Ruheng was excited at the prospect of such growth just as Wulin was.

Truthfully, Wulin didn't have anything he could teach the man. Most of Wulin's strength came from his blood essence and the bit that didn't came from unending effort which Ah Ruheng likely had in spades. But Wulin didn't need to tell him that.

"Then why don't we make a trade? I'm interested in the methods of the Body Sect myself." It was an unfair deal, that much was obvious at a glance. The Body Sect had a history of thousands of years and it may be a dying sect but that didn't make its history vanish. Besides, Ah Ruheng was proof enough that the Body Sect hadn't lost its touch.

"Hm… I'll have to talk to my teacher. Actually, why don't you come with me? I bet he'd jump at the opportunity to teach somebody as talented as you!" Laughing boisterously Ah Ruheng skipped over the entire offer and brought Wulin right to the perfect opportunity.

"I'd be happy to meet him." Smiling Wulin was both glad to see things going his way and genuinely enjoying his conversation with Ah Ruheng. Most soul masters were a bit arrogant whether they knew it or not as they worked immensely hard to reach where they were and they were confident in themselves. Ah Ruheng on the other hand was much more down to earth.

"Then let's go!" Lifting Wulin up with ease Ah Ruheng ran out of the coffee shop with Wulin in his arm, the Golden Dragon King having just barely enough time to leave money on the table. Ah Ruheng was an energetic man, too energetic some could say, but he was a good man.

Such a good man that he was leading Wulin right to the Sect Master of the Body Sect for free.

Hey there, hope you liked the chapter.

Just like how Zhuo Shi changed Wulin forever by teaching him to cultivate his blood essence, we're getting into the next major change for Wulin. Also, I'm not quite sure how Ah Ruheng would act at this age since he was introduced way down the line but I think I'm portraying him well.
