Chapter 19 - ORDINARY VISAGE - 19

I pointed my gun through the bars at the people outside the wooden door. They raised their hands, looking at me timidly.

"Get me out of here or I'll shoot you two dead!"

In this cramped room, I only found one long rifle loaded with two bullets. Other items like bows, swords and other sharp objects lay idle in the cupboard as I don't know how to escape relying on those tools. I've been rumbling since the night, I feel killing people early in the morning is not a difficult matter.

"What is this?"

Someone came wondering, I rolled my eyes at that while pointing my rifle with emotion. The man looked at me without emotion, he held the muzzle of my gun with one hand.

"Get out of my sight or I'll shoot!"

The man in front of me smiled, he told the people behind him to leave, while I screamed in frustration. "Why did you let those people go you bastard!"

"Shh..." The man put his index finger on his own lips. "Don't make a scene so early, Abby."

Amyas smiled amusedly, I nudged his shoulder with my rifle with emotion. "Get me out of here!"

"Why should I let you out?" Amyas pulled the rifle from my hand in one fell swoop, stroking it gently in his grip. He's getting annoying the longer I don't see him for a few days. "I thought you'd gone far, but you're stuck here."

"You think I want to be stuck in here and meet you? Of course not, you idiot," I grumbled, feeling very annoyed to see Amyas' expression that was making fun of me so openly. "Get me out of here!"

Amyas shrugged. "Where's Kaltain? Don't you trust him?"

I clenched my fists. My stomach is growling. I squealed, making loud noises so the arrogant man wouldn't hear. "When did I say believe it? You're just guessing yourself."

"So you don't believe it?" Amyas walked slowly towards me. "I wonder how Kaltain will look when he finds out you don't believe him."

"Hey, believe it or not, it's really none of your business."

"Then whether you leave the room or not is none of my business either."

"Bastard!"

I kicked the door in front of me with emotion, while my hands gripped the bars in front of the door. "What do you want, Dammit?!"

Amyas chuckled, he covered his lips with his shoulders that went up and down. He glanced at me. "Begging me, Caviar."

"Don't say that name in my presence!" I shouted, "Don't act like you know me!"

"If I really know you how?" Amyas pointed the gun at me. Now the position has reversed. The muzzle of the gun is now aimed right at my left chest. I gulped, staring at Amyas fiercely.

"Beg me or I will shoot you."

"I don't want to beg you."

"You have no other choice but to obey me."

My hands clenched. "Then shoot me right now."

Amyas rolled her eyes. His sly smile disappeared. But he didn't move the muzzle of the gun away from me. "Why keep quiet? You can't shoot me?"

"Killing you is easy, Caviar. I just need the intention for it."

"Then why didn't you kill me?"

Amyas glared at me. He squeezed the trigger, before I finally flicked a marble into his eye. The shot missed, while the man groaned. I laughed with satisfaction at that, while Amyas's eyes turned red. Just like the time he wanted to corner me.

"I'm not getting you out of there."

Amyas was just about to leave but I spoke quickly. "What do you want from me, Amyas?"

Amyas stopped walking. He smiled slyly. "Beg me."

"Then open this door first. I will beg you."

"Why should I do that to you?"

"Don't you want me to beg you?"

Amyas was unmoved. He walked over to me, opened the door and stood in front of me, blocking my way. "Now, beg me."

I laughed at that. Amyas frowned, while I tiptoed up to him, whispering in a low, pitiful tone in his ear. "Please get me out of here Amyas..."

Amyas froze. I smiled crookedly, then pushed him quickly against the ugly wooden door. "It is done, right?"

I immediately left there, leaving Amyas who was still frozen in place like a stupid human. The people holding me pointed at me, but I looked away and walked out of the area. I could feel a hand grabbing mine. Before finally I flinched to see Shiloh's blushing face.

"Shiloh?"

"Where have you been, huh?!" Shiloh spoke in a high pitched voice, looking really irritated to see me. "I looked for you everywhere, I thought you left me."

I didn't know what to say, so I just kept silent. "Do you really want to leave me?"

I scratched my head. "Actually it is."

Shiloh looked surprised, he grabbed my hand. "Why do you think like that?"

I sighed in annoyance, then led the boy away from the crowd of people watching us. "You're getting stupid, aren't you? You expect me to talk in a crowd like that?"

Shiloh was unmoved.

I sighed. "Shiloh, before you ask me I should ask you first," I said, "what happened to you since coming to this world? Why are you behaving so strangely?"

"When did I act strange?" he said with emotion. "You're just deliberately looking for reasons to leave me!"

Shiloh wanted to leave, but I prevented her. "You think I'm just going to leave me for no reason? I couldn't have done that without you like this!"

"This is what you mean?"

Shiloh gave me a confused look. I bit my lip, not knowing where to start. "Stop acting like this. Who are you?" I pushed Shiloh's body, bringing her closer to the wall. "You're not the Shiloh I know at all."

"Enough!" Shiloh pushed me away. "What are you talking about, huh? I've been looking for you and Aqua for days, can't sleep because I'm thinking of you and you suspect me? What did I do to you?"

I remember Shiloh's happy face in the apple tree that time. His words were a lie I heard early in the morning. "You don't have to look for me, Shiloh. Especially with Aqua."

"What happened to you, huh?" Shiloh took both my shoulders. "You never want to talk about it with me, how can I understand?!"

"You think you told me everything too?" I chuckled dryly, "You yourself intentionally distanced yourself from me. Who do you think you are, huh?"

Shiloh let go of his hand. He looked at me disappointed. "I'm here because of you, Caviar. How dare you talk to me like that."

I'm sick of hearing what he said. "If you're here because of me, Amyas shouldn't know my real name, right?" I said emotionally, looking up to challenge him. "No one knows my name Caviar except you, Shiloh."

Shiloh rolled her eyes. He shook his head. "I didn't tell anyone about you. Not one bit."

"Then how did he know?"

Shiloh was silent. I chuckled. "During the night of the awakening you said we couldn't leave here. What does that mean? When will you be able to explain that to me?"

No answer.

"Answer me, Shiloh!"

Shiloh just looked at me frustrated by tugging at her clothes. I repeatedly punched his broad chest. "See? The only fault is you, Shiloh. So don't assume that I betrayed you."

"For your own good, Abby."

I whimpered, pushed him away and let him go. Shiloh didn't say anything else, but held me down. I feel my heart fall apart. I hate Shiloh starting today. []
