Ambers POV
"That's why.... I'm gonna make you love me" Alarik said seriously.
"you can't force someone to like you or even love you, Alarik.... that's not how that works" I told him. "but it is" he said. "Alarik I think you should leave before you make this worse for yourself" I said looking down then looking back up at him.
"no I can make you love me" he said. "I love Chris, Alarik" I said as he looked me in the eyes. "No you love me... you don't love him" he said and those words echoed through my mind. "your right..." I said "I do love you" I continued.
I didn't love Chris not at all. I now only had two thoughts running through my mind. one of Kyra and the other of Alarik.

my phone suddenly started to ring. Chris was calling. I pressed ignore. "I need to put Kyra to bed then we can get busy" I said then kissed him on the cheek.
I walked into the nursery and laid Kyra donw in her crib then put the blanket over her so she wouldn't get cold.

my phone started to ring again, it was once again Chris. this time I answered. "What do you want?" I asked coldly. "Are you ok you seem annoyed?" he asked. "what's it matter to you?" I asked "What?" he said confused. "we're in a relationship of course I'm concerned about you" he said. "not anymore" I said. "what?" he asked confused with a hint of concern. "Chris I'll only say this once ok. I don't love you anymore, so keep your furry ass away from me and my daughter" I said then hung up. for some reason his voice just annoyed me.
I just shook of the feeling and focused back on Kyra. "Sleep tight my little light" I told her as I kissed her forehead. Alarik suddenly appeared behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist. then began kissing my neck. "not Infront of the baby" I chuckled lightly. "then to the bedroom" he said as I kissed him.
Christopher's Pov
"Ahhh" I yelled as pain filled my chest. that wasn't her... she wouldn't do that, she wouldn't just cheat like that. she knows how it affects a wolf when their mate cheats.
"what's going on why is she doing this?" I asked myself 'does mate hate us now?' my wolf asked heart broken. "no way not without a reason" I said. "were going to her apartment" I continued.
"Brian I'll be back!" I yelled to my beta as I left the pack house. I got in my truck and and drove the 15 minutes to get to her apartment. the closer I got the worst the pain In my chest got.
when I got to her apartment I kicked in the door. "What the hell!" she yelled running out of her bedroom. Alarik followed slowly behind her. "GET AWAY FROM MY MATE!" I yelled in my alpha tone towards him. Kyra began to cry from the other room.
"I told you to stay away Chris!" Amber snapped. "Amber he's dangerous sont you see that? he compelled you!" I said taking a step closer to her. her pupils were dilated proving that he really had compelled her. "Chris your acting insane" she said.
"Amber please listen to me" I pleaded "GET OUT!" she yelled. "mittent" she said causing me to go flying. "fine" I said then got up. as I walked away I pulled out my phone and dialed her mothers number.
it rang for a minute before she answered. "what is it?" she asked sarcastically. she never really liked me very much. "That vampire you hired to be a nanny or whatever, compelled Amber" I said as I got to the elevator. "what?" she questioned "are you sure?" she asked concerned. "All the signs are there and Amber wouldn't get with someone else while she was in a relationship" I replied.
she sighed. "this was unexpected, he isn't after Kyra is he?" she asked. "honestly, I think he just wants Amber" I said Honestly.
"Alright... here's what we need to do" she started. "I'm still in the area. make sure they don't leave the apartment, I'll call Nathan so he can get Kyra. then I'll get some vervain, I can boil it to its liquid form though I doubt she'll willing drink it so we'll either have to force it down her throat or dump it on her and use a spell" she explained. "What about Jackson?" I asked "He's already on a plane to France he can't help" she said.
"ok" I replied "what exactly do you want me to do in the meantime, other then watching them? I asked. "Call maybe 4 or 5 of your wolves were going to need them" she said "got it" I replied "I'll be there in about 45 minutes" she said then hung up.
I was worried. would what ever Emily, ambers mom was planning work. would Amber be able to break out of the compulsion? as my chest began to become more painful, I quickly called my beta and told him to come over along with 3 other wolves.
Although it was rare for an alpha to follow someone else's command... I was willing to do anything in order to bring Amber back to me. if I could I would've killed the blood sucker already but if the vampire dies before the compulsion is undone. it'll last forever.
but I swear to the goddess as soon as Amber is back to her old self I will tear the blood sucker limb from limb and burn his body to ashes.
"Chris, is she still in her apartment?" Nathan asked suddenly appearing "unless they snuck out another way then yes" I replied to him "you got here pretty fast" I continued. "I was in the area" he replied. "isn't everyone?" I said sarcastically. "now be a good father and go get your daughter" I told him seriously.
