Chapter 48 - new story Chapter 1:

The sun had set on the desolate ruins of Tokyo, casting long shadows across the abandoned cityscape. It had been years since the last living human had been seen in the area. But there was movement, a rustling in the rubble, as a figure emerged from the darkness.

His name was Geno Mukidora, and he was a scavenger. He lived on the fringes of society, eking out a living by salvaging what he could from the ruins of the city. He was lean and agile, with short-cropped black hair and a scruffy beard. His clothes were tattered and worn, but he wore them with a confidence that suggested he was no stranger to hardship.

Geno was on the hunt for supplies, and he had his eye on a large building in the distance. It was a sprawling complex, with multiple floors and what looked like an underground parking garage. It was the kind of place that could hold untold treasures, but it was also the kind of place that could be dangerous.

He approached the building cautiously, his eyes scanning the surroundings for any signs of danger. The air was thick with the smell of decay and the distant sound of rubble shifting in the wind. Geno felt a sense of foreboding, but he pushed it aside and continued towards the building.

As he got closer, he saw movement in one of the windows. He froze, his hand going to the hilt of his makeshift knife. But the movement was just a rat, scurrying along the window ledge. Geno let out a sigh of relief and continued towards the entrance.

The door was locked, but Geno was prepared. He pulled out a set of lockpicks and got to work. It took a few minutes, but he eventually heard a satisfying click and the door swung open.

Inside, the building was dark and foreboding. The sound of his footsteps echoed through the halls, and Geno felt a chill run down his spine. He could sense that something was off, but he couldn't put his finger on what it was.

He explored the ground floor, finding little of value. But as he made his way to the stairs, he heard a faint noise coming from below. It sounded like someone was down there.

Geno hesitated. He knew that going down there was risky, but he couldn't ignore the possibility of finding another survivor. He descended the stairs, his heart pounding in his chest.

At the bottom of the stairs, he found a door that was slightly ajar. He pushed it open, and his eyes widened in shock.

There, in front of him, was a sight he never thought he'd see again.
