Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Unlucky Boss...

/I hate being sick but I love writing./

/Pls Enjoy/

-3rd POV-

Lucy was currently in-game to test the boss AI now. They once again, had to make a new character otherwise Lucy would just one shot the boss with the last character she used... and the ones before that.

Lucy once again made her stats all 25 except for Dex. At behest of the development team, she wielded a sword this time. Just a beginner's blade.

"Remember, this is also to see if the mob AI changed while we made the transfer between operating systems." The floating rabbit beside Lucy stated.

"Then why haven't any come out? I've just been walking through this dungeon and I'm pretty sure we're halfway to the boss room." Lucy said.

"Now that you mention it..." The rabbit opened it's dev screen and checked the area with it. His face then scrunched up.

"All the mobs for some reason have not noticed you... not only that, you haven't set off a single trap." Lucy at this point, wasn't surprised by her own luck. She had become so conscious about it, that every time something happens because of her, she'd roll her eyes and scoff.

"I wanna fight some monsters~" She sarcastically said, in which case several medium sized slimes came out with floating spirits surrounding them.

For some reason, her luck acted akin to more a wishing system. It'd grant her whatever if she asked for it, otherwise it'll do what the user consciously wants or avoid what she dislikes.

Two of the slimes leapt forward to jump Lucy, but instead they hit each other. The spirits attempted to cast some small light beams but the magic hit each other and canceled the attacks out.

"..." Lucy and the floating rabbit dev just stared silence.

The slimes had accidentally killed each other after another attempt and the spirits had somehow exhausted themselves.

"I admit, the AI is pretty neat for getting exhausted, but what the hell?" Lucy, was just stupefied, her luck was so powerful that she didn't even need to move. Now she was worried about what would happen during the boss fight.

"Your luck again?" The rabbit asked and Lucy simply nodded.

"You've gotta be kidding me." One of the developers on the other side just said out loud while facepalming.

"It's no wonder she's always nearing the top of the leaderboards on other games. I thought it was a joke till I saw her FGO account, she's got all the 5* from every event so far." One of the Devs added, seeing her luck for herself.

-Flashback-

"Oh is that FGO?" The dev asked Lucy.

"Yeah, I'm gonna summon for Miss Crane, I need her for future 3 turn setups." Lucy, with knowledge of the future, said nonchalantly.

"Well, I wish you lu-" He watched her summon and saw the rainbow sparkles immediately. Miss Crane popped up... four times.

"HOW THE-" He was cut off by Lucy.

"Damn, I should've asked for 5, now I need to waste more SQ. Just a single pull then." She tapped it and more rainbow sparkles that lead to Miss Crane.

The Dev was left flabbergasted at witnessing Lucy's luck firsthand.

-End of Flashback-

Lucy had made it to the boss room and was greeted by the giant deer boss. The one that Sally and Maple beat to move onto the next floor.

Lucy stood and watched as it began to launch several vines towards her. The attack grazed Lucy's left cheek and she smiled.

[Notification]

[Skill gained: Graze]

[Skill gained: Counter Attack]

[Skill gained: Stacking]

Her smile faltered a bit and she took step forward and dodges another vine.

'This luck of mine, I swear. Graze builds up damage equivalent to how many attacks have grazed you. Stacking builds up damage based how long you haven't made a move. Counter Attack is exactly what it says.' Lucy had gotten these skills before on a previous character, just not with the new equipment.

Lucy then side-stepped a magic attack. She isn't predicting, she getting 'Lucky'.

The rabbit and the devs watched and were pretty tired of the bull that was happening. Lucy kept 'narrowly' dodging the attacks with a nonchalant smile on her face. She wasn't even trying.

The Deer boss, seemingly had enough, and charged towards Lucy instead. In which is promptly tripped on a vine it had casted and slide against the floor.

Lucy simply 'blocked' the end of the momentum of the Deer and Counter Attacked.

The single slash annihilated the boss.

"Yeah, I think boss attacks should despawn after awhile, or an event like that could happen again. That or make the AI for aware of it's surroundings." Lucy stated as the boss simply disappeared.

That marked the end of boss testing for the floor boss.

Lucy logged out and was greeted by some ice cream. In which she took the whole tub.

Everyone was now working on new bosses with gimmicks and skills that couldn't be gained as easily.

Graze had a 0.009% chance of being obtained when being barely grazed by an attack. Counter attack had a 0.70% chance when dodging an attack. Stacking had a chance of being gained when going through a dungeon or area without drawing your weapon, and that chance was 0.000001%. They really tried to make it difficult to obtain these broken skills, but Lucy simply dodged and obtained 2 with a 3rd as a bonus.

They knew they had a lot of work to do, but after making the bosses and skills for the 1st floor, they had to map out the rest of the future content for the game.
