Five glowing swords pierced the man on his hands, his feet and his stomach. He tried to get out but the swords were too powerful and soon enough, he gave up and after a few seconds, he looked like he was talking to someone.
"So it is him huh? Alright then..." he said to the entity I couldn't see
The glowing swords disappeared and both his and my wounds healed. He walked up to me and offered a hand so I could stand up.
"You win... Now I will grant you the knowledge that you seek. What is it?
I thought about it for a while and after some time, I was able to think about something.
"I want to know more about the Gods and the forgotten ones as well."
"Alright... The gods are mysterious beings that govern the world and are all originated from one single God, he is called Creation God. They are responsible for the preservation of everything in it. But some gods turn evil due to their own desires and they become what are called demon gods but there is only one true demon god. The Creation God wanted to see the demon god make a wonderful nation but due to other gods turning evil, he had no choice but to keep them there for his promise to the creation god."
"Is that why other gods become forgotten?" I asked
"No, forgotten gods are those gods that were no longer able to give blessings to people that worshipped them. Those include the goddess of mischief and the god of judgement. The gods once waged war against the demon gods which in turn destroyed 'the great seperation' which is a very tall wall that separates the normal continents from the demon continent. The demon gods were able to overpower the justice god and the goddess of mischief. Justice god was imprisoned while goddess of mischief was able to escape, but she lost a lot of mana so she was never able to give blessings to the worshippers."
"Were you talking to a god earlier?"
"Yes."
"Who was it?"
"Haha... You'll know him when you two meet."
"Then, why did the creation god create these gods, can't he just govern the world himself?"
"It is because he died."
"Huh?!" I stumbled back, surprised
"It is true, because he created a sword that could kill gods and he created it for the death god to use. He used up all his power to create it and his remaining mana turned into the gods."
"Now I understand... Thank you very much for telling me about it." I said while walking into the cave
I carried Lexia back to the camp and when we arrived there everyone was relieved to see us.
"Where have you two been? We were worried that something might have happened to you!"
"Sorry... The boars escaped when we tried to catch them, so we took a long time." I replied
"No matter, Clair was able to get some mushrooms and Lance caught some fishes so, don't worry too much." Elaine said
I laid Lexia down in her tent and went to get some food. Walking out, I thought about the man I keep seeing whenever I go unconscious.
"What was he talking about?" I thought to myself
Later that night, Lexia woke up and joined us for dinner, afterwards she asked to talk to me in private. We went a clearing in the forest.
"Hey..." she said to me with a serious face
"Did you ever feel like you didn't stand a chance against that manticore... That you needed more power?" she asked
"I was never able to beat the manticore, it just left." I replied
"When I fell unconscious, I saw a person, he called himself a god. He asked me if I wanted to be stronger."
A heavy feeling swept through my body, making me shake.
"He told me that he'd give me power if I kill ,you and the others... Thank you for saving me and goodbye" she said with a smile, her eyes fully black with tears flowing down and her line glowing bright red
Arrows with different elements formed, facing towards me and a heavy aura pinned me in place. The arrows rushed towards me with insane speed but as they were about to hit me, a dark figure slashed them in half and stood in front. He laughed menacingly.
"Sin is under my control... I am sin itself!
Murder is a sin, and it is affected by the deadly sins. You have the sin of greed... You want power! But I am greed!"
Lexia looked mad, her eyes glaring as she stepped back and turned around.
"I'll be back to kill you, and I will be more powerful than any human who ever lived!"
A large rift appeared on one of the trees and she entered it, it closed as her body disappeared into the rift. The figure turned around to look at me.
"A war will once again break out between the demon continent and the angels and you will be an important part in it. Work hard and become stronger. We will meet again if you are able to beat a true dragon that lives in the Labrinth of Yor."
A large fog of darkness covered along with screams echoing. Soon the fog disappeared along with him.
I returned back to camp and the others were waiting for me.
"Where is Lexia, wasn't she with you?" Clair asked
"Well..." I let out a sigh
"She left and we possibly won't see her again." I said sadly
"What!? Why? Where is she going? We have to make her return! What are we going to tell the teacher?!" Elaine had a look of worry
"I don't know where she is and she possibly won't go back, there is nothing we can do about it." I looked down not able to tell them the truth."
They all gave off a sad look.
"It's no use crying about it, let's go to sleep and tell the teacher tomorrow, I'm sure she'll understand."
