* Surprise Update! I noticed we suffered in the last chapter, so why not suffer more, right? Have fun!
[GREALOR]
"Congratulations, alpha Gabriel Grealor, on your upcoming wedding. Maybe the goddess bless your union with Tamiko," Chief Konstantin said earnestly, in his cold voice again, and this time Zakhar was the first to choke on air, while the wolves stared in shock.
A wedding out of the blue like that? It was insane and even Gabe, whose heart was beating in his ears with excitement, figured that there was more to this.
He was sure Tamiko still hated him, even though the usual anger in Tamiko's eyes was today replaced with amusement, almost like Tamiko himself was waiting to see what the fates had in store for them.
Igor, who had always been against everything Grealor, was a little too happy to be letting his mate go, especially when he had made sure to warn the whole of Grealor to stay away from Tamiko barely two weeks ago.
"Slow down, Chief Konstantin. A wedding is too sudden. What if the kids don't want to wed? What of the other complications?" Alpha Ashton said as Zakhar and Judd stared blankly. They didn't know what they had expected, but this just wasn't it.
They could smell the trap from a distance, but they couldn't say shit about it, because they were just mere warriors who had the pleasure of appearing formally before a Lycan chief and a lord that had accompanied him.
"Tamiko's father already approved the match. And from what I know, Tamiko himself has agreed to wed your son. Besides, don't worry about the young kid beside me. He won't give you any trouble," Toshiro said and this time Alpha Ashton choked on air.
"As for Chief Konstantin choosing Tamiko to be his erasthai, you need not to worry about that, as both mates have decided that Tamiko is better off bonded to Gabe. The kids will have a fantastic future together.
"I assure you; it will blow so many away," Toshiro added, letting out a sinister chuckle as he stared at Ashton. However, for someone who had just mentioned a few shocking statements, Toshiro looked happy, glad that this was happening.
There was also a new smile on Tamiko's face, as he looked at Galya, the woman who was supposed to be his best friend and at the same time, the woman who hadn't hesitated to betray him at the first chance.
"Tamiko's father?" Galya asked, seeing as everyone else was still processing what they had heard. This had to be some illusion, because it was impossible, right?
"Yeah. I found my father, Galya. He would very much like to meet you in the future. Don't worry, you will see him at the wedding, if my dear Gabriel accepts me to be his mate. I have a home now, a last name even.
"Father told me, my last name is Hinata. You don't have to worry about protecting me again. I really appreciate that you accepted and even offered me Belova protection. couldn't have asked for a better best friend. Thank you, Galya," Tamiko said earnestly.
Gabriel Grealor was at a loss for words. He wasn't sure if he was happy that Tamiko had accepted him, or if he was scared that the wedding seemed more like a forced one, than a happy wedding.
The fact that Tamiko was a little too willing to leave Kosta's side to be with him was already raising so many suspicions, especially given how they had treated Tamiko the entire time.
"Yeah. Tamiko Hinata. A name fit for a crown prince," Toshiro said, the warning so evident in his voice and the cold calculating stare not leaving Alpha Ashton's face. He was daring the alpha to say or do something, but what was it?
"Congratulations, Tamiko. Who is your father?" Galya asked and Tamiko looked at her with a smile on his face, even though he could see the woman's hands shaking, and feet constantly tapping the floor.
'Someone's nervous,' Tamiko thought amusedly.
"Well, that's a long story, but Uncle Sadako offered to be my father," Tamiko said after a long silence, making Igor smirk at the wolves while alpha Ashton released a sigh he hadn't even realized he was holding in yet.
"Oh, that's awesome. At least you will have two families… No, three families now. The Belovas, the Grealors, and the Lycans. Congratulations, brother," Galya said, getting up to hug Tamiko.
Tamiko didn't hesitate to return the hug, and Igor didn't even try to keep Tamiko by his side. He was a little too willing to let this interaction happen, despite knowing that no one, absolutely no one, would ever be able to take HIS Tamiko for him.
That was something that Igor had sworn to the fates and promised he'd burn everyone and everything that dared to come between him and his erasthai. The universe knew he and Tamiko would always belong to each other, so what the fuck were they up to?
"No. I refuse. The wedding is not happening. My son already has a mate and Galya is that mate for him," Alpha Ashton said as he suddenly got up in anger and tried to get out of the house, only to be stopped by the Lycan warriors.
However, they let him have a glimpse of what had been happening outside.
All the werewolf warriors the alpha had come with, were murdered by the Lycans, and their bodies were sprawled on Tamiko's lawn like there was a plague. They looked worse than any battle Alpha Ashton had ever been to.
The body parts were all over, hell, the alpha could even see tongues, ears, noses, brains, and other mutilated body parts spread all over. If he didn't know any better, Ashton could have assumed there was an attack on his people.
"What… What did you do to my warriors?" Alpha Ashton asked as he tried to get out, only to be thrown against the wall by one of the Lycan warriors.
It was an action that got the werewolves in the room back to their senses, especially the disturbing groans from Ashton, and the awful sound of bones breaking and crashing so loudly.
"I think you were mistaking him for a negotiation, Ashton. The wedding is happening, come hell or high water. Your son, Gabriel, is marrying MY mate. If hosting the wedding is an issue for you, then I can tell King Zaffuto to host the ceremony.
"—Seeing as he is a king so fond of WEREWOLVES. So, which will it be?" Chief Konstantin growled out, and Tamiko flinched for the first time at Kosta's voice. It was all so new and the anger was so raw it was suffocating him through the mate bond.
Whatever was happening, wasn't doing the both of them any good, and even Tamiko could see that. So, he looked at Toshiro, hoping that Toshiro would be able to help tone down the situation, but he could see the danger in Toshiro's eyes.
It was similar to the darkness in the Lycan warrior's faces, and it wasn't pretty. Tamiko knew he had to think and fast, because otherwise, this beautiful house Kosta had made for him would be similar to whatever the heck had happened out there.
"You are pathetic, Igor. What did they do to you in Kawai to make it so easy for you to give up your sweet broken excuse of an erasthai like that? I thought erasthais were a thing like forever?
"Did you get so bored of the outcast that you decided to bring him back to us in the form of a wedding so we wouldn't return his pathetic ass to you?" Alpha Ashton asked scornfully, only to be shut up by a kick to the throat.
"Aargh!!!!" Igor bellowed as he rushed towards Ashton, ready to inflict more pain on the man who seemed not to be getting enough of it. However, Tamiko's voice stopped him in his tracks.
"Noo!!!" Gabe shouted as he rushed to his father, only for the Lycan warriors to rush in their direction, before silencing Gabe, Judd, and Zakhar faster than Tamiko could ever blink.
And then there was silence, save for Galya's gasp in Tamiko's arms.
"Kosta—" Tamiko tried, hoping to calm the man down, but instead, Igor roughly pushed Galya out of Tamiko's arms, not caring where she landed, before pulling Tamiko into a possessive hug.
"MINE," Kosta growled out again, making everyone in the room bow, save for Tamiko who was immune to his commanding voice.
"Yours, Kosta. Always yours alone," Tamiko said in reassurance, before smashing his lips against Kosta's.
