Chapter 69 - Well, Well, Well... Run??

[TAMIKO]

"They? Do you mean my friends and Gabe? Yeah, Uncle already said that but I don't believe them. Besides, it doesn't make any sense that Danny and Galya would betray me. We have been friends with them since we were kids," Tamiko defended and Kosta just sighed.

"Then why did Galya steal the letters I left for you? Why did she go to Valu to fuck with your mind and let you think Lord Sadako was the one who took them?" Igor asked and Tamiko shook his head in denial.

"Impossible," he defended, but was it, really, when Kosta had sworn on his life, to never lie to him?

"Is it though?" Kosta asked and Tamiko just sighed.

"I'll kill them. I'll give them pain worse than death. I trusted them. I want to say you're wrong, but everything seemed a little too perfect on their end. It was like there weren't any flaws, and that rarely happens.

"Actually, it never happens," Tamiko said as he looked outside the peeking hole there.

He knew that Kosta would never lie to him and he also knew that as much as he wanted to say that lord Sadako was playing games with him, there was just no way that the man had risked all that just for him to be lying.

"No love. I will be your executioner. I swore that to you, remember? Besides, you don't have to be on the battlefield this time. All you have to do is point a finger and everything will be sorted, moya dusha," Igor said and Tamiko stared at him like he had gone bonkers.

Of course, he was aware of Igor's declaration of love and what he had promised, but that didn't explain the last statement. What did he mean by everything would be sorted? Did Igor mean that Tamiko would be protected by bounty hunters like him??

Did he mean that Lord Sadako would protect Tamiko?

Did he mean that there was more to Tamiko than met the eye?

Oh, but Tamiko was curious. He wanted to ask the questions but a part of him could tell that Igor would try to make him forget that part. So he stayed silent, as he watched his boyfriend stare at him with eyes that told Tamiko that he alone was everything to Igor Konstantin.

They were eyes that reminded the young lycan that Igor had already made up his mind and that regardless of what was headed their way, Igor would always be at the forefront with him. It was pleasant, to say the least.

More than anything, Tamiko felt safe with Igor.

"Kosta—"

"What is it, love? Do you have someone you want me to kill? Do you want to give me that name I've been asking for, for the past three weeks?" Igor asked excitedly as he carefully reached out to Tamiko, gently grabbing the young Lycan's hand and pulling him to him.

Igor had expected Tamiko to resist, but when Tamiko let himself go, breathing Igor in in the process, Kosta knew that his war was finally over. He didn't have to fight to save the bond anymore.

His erasthai was slowly opening up to him and that was something he would forever be glad about.

"I missed you."

"What?"

"Don't leave me again," Tamiko whispered softly as he stared at the barbarian who seemed to have been stuck in processing. Well, to be fair, Tamiko had never openly declared that he had missed Igor.

He was always either worried or being protected by the man.

"I missed you too. I missed you so much, my beautiful. I couldn't bear leaving your side ever. I could take any punishment, just as long as I don't leave you again. I can't think straight when you're not near.

"You're my whole world, baby. You are my reason, and it breaks my heart that I had to leave earlier. However having you this close, makes the whole thing worth it, but still—"

"I know," Tamiko said as he cupped his mate's face. Granted, he wasn't sure what his future held, and he wasn't sure how his strategies to go against Grealor would work, especially now that he had gathered the most unexpected of allies.

However, one thing he was sure of, was that he wouldn't let go of Igor's hand, as long as Kosta wanted him around.

"Can I—"

"Always," Tamiko said as he smashed his lips against Igor's, making the warrior breathe out in relief.

He had missed this and by the young Lycan's response, they both had desired this for long. And so it was that the two were in a gentle battle of lips, and tongues, nibbling, and biting as they got lost in the sparks that were in their world.

They had a lot to express, and as they sat comfortably on the bed, with Igor pulling Tamiko to his lap, the two mates let themselves be lost in each other, holding on, and reaching out to each other at the same time.

Had there not been a knock at their door, they would have probably marked themselves. But then wasn't it already obvious to anyone with an eye that these two were bound to each other and wouldn't be parting anytime soon?

"Sire, I brought your dinner wear," a male voice was heard outside the door, and Igor let out a growl. He knew this was definitely Lord Sadako's doing, choosing a man to be his mate's servant.

"Go away Sanjiro!" Igor said and the man behind the doors let out a knowing laugh.

"I should have known it was you here. No wonder Lord Sadako chose me for this," Sanjiro said before adding, "I'm coming in, Konstantin. I hope you're fully dressed."

"Aww, he looks like a pretty flower. He must be really important to you, huh? Why do you always get the pretty ones?" Sanjiro said and Tamiko instantly pushed the barbarian away, like he didn't want to be associated with the man anymore.

What the hell did the man who had just walked in mean by the pretty ones? Was he just a plaything for the Lycan chief? Was that what this was? Could Lord Sadako have brought him here just because he was a plaything for Kosta?

"Baby—"

"D… Don't come closer. Stay w… Stay where you are. I don't want to be your plaything. I— fuck this, I'm leaving, and don't you follow me to Grealor," Tamiko said as he jumped off the bed and made a run to the door.

However, Sanjiro was quicker than him, because he blocked Tamiko's way out of the room, making the young lycan start considering what he would do to the man.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you, Sanji," Igor warned and Tamiko glared at his mate. He was daring to talk to the man who had just made assumptions that he was a plaything and he hadn't even corrected the man?

"Are you going to get out of my way, or am I going to get you out myself?" Tamiko asked and Sanji just smirked, while Igor moved to the farthest end of the room, like he knew something that both Sanji and Tamiko didn't.

"Make me," Sanji said.

"You shouldn't have said that," Igor laughed.

"I'll see you in hell then," Tamiko growled as he punched Sanji's body through the thick mahogany door so hard that the lycan fell down the balcony, his body hitting the ground with a thud.

"Who. The fuck. Dared to disturb MY peace!!!!"
