Skai was shocked out of her mind by Damien's words.
How did he figure it out?
He wasn't there with her when Jared confronted Shane.
There was no way in hell he'd know, right?
"Tell me," Damien insisted, his eyes narrowing at her.
Skai didn't reply. Instead, her eyebrows raised and she stared back at him, confused.
"Do not act dumb, little one," he continued in a calm and cool voice.
Skai's gaze fell and her arms crossed.
"So, is there something I should know?" Damien pried.
She waited a minute then answered. "I think so."
"I am waiting," Damien hinted.
Skai gave a nod of agreement before making her way back to the room, settling down with care on the bed. Damien mirrored her actions, choosing to stand instead of sitting.
