"There's no way, right? But that was Skai in the flesh."
Sydney's face twisted in fury as she gripped the steering wheel tightly, her knuckles white with rage.
"Or did he play a quick one on me?"
Sydney picked up her phone and dialled Kairav's number. But with every ring, she was met with a deafening silence.
"Huh? Better pick up you scoundrel!"
She dialled his phone, over and over, but each time, it went straight to voicemail. She growled in frustration.
"Damn you, Kairav!" She slammed her fist on the steering wheel, ignoring the dull ache that followed the impact. "Answer me!"
But as she tried again, a message flashed on her screen: "Line Busy."
Sydney's eyes narrowed, her face reddening with fury. "You think you can block me? You think you can just dismiss me?"
