Lilith blinked, pulling her mind from the shock registered on her face.
"My liege."
Jared placed a finger over his lips hushing her. "Not now, Lilith. Getting Skai's clone to her house is of most importance."
Lilith nodded and stepped out of the way for Jared.
"Go get them. Watch everyone around you and Skai closely to see who the enemy is."
"I will."
He took her straight home, settling her in her new apartment and watched over her for a while before leaving when he sensed her stir.
"I'll keep you safe, I promise."
He kissed her on her forehead before leaving her alone. Everything after that was a blur. By the time she woke up, she had completely forgotten all that transpired and how she arrived there.
The next time the original Skai felt anything, was the moment Kairav's dagger plunged into her heart, killing her clone and transferring her consciousness to her body.
