Jared's eyes widened in surprise at Skai's request, but he couldn't deny the pleading look in her eyes. She had left him speechless but he agreed nonetheless.
"Okay, I'll stay."
Skai's face lit up with a soft smile as she scooted over, making room for Jared on the bed. He lay down beside her, his body tense as he wrapped his arms around her.
He knew he'd have to control his emotions and arousal to prevent him from doing things like the previous night.
As they settled into a comfortable position, Skai's head nestled into the crook of Jared's neck, her body relaxing into his embrace. Jared's nose flared, taking in her scent, his fangs aching with the desire to taste her.
Skai's hand drifted up, her fingers tracing the lines of Jared's face, her touch made him shudder slightly. Without a doubt, he loved the sweet sensation her fingers caused in his body.
