"Storm."
"Is your life too trivial to be tossed away like this?"
Silver gulped.
She could not explain her actions. If she was asked whether or not she was thinking right, the correct answer eluded her.
Was it jealousy or was it pain and anger?
"No, it's not."
"Then why did you do it?" She opened her lips to speak but when she did, nothing came out.
Storm held her gaze, waiting for her to speak and when she did not, he asked again. "I'm talking to you, Silver. Why did you do it?"
Silver lowered her eyes, unable to meet his gaze. "I don't know," she whispered in a barely audible voice. "I just felt so hurt and betrayed," she added.
Storm sighed, his expression softening slightly. "I understand that, Silver. But that doesn't excuse your actions. You could have seriously hurt yourself."
Silver nodded, acknowledging his words. "I know. I'm sorry."
