Shawn balled his hands into fists. "She's no whore, father."
Sterling turned to the side, fully facing Shawn. "Dare to repeat."
"I will. Yasmin isn't a whore. She's my guest."
"Should I care?"

Yasmin's lips tugged down. With every second spent knowing Skai's family, she could see that Sterling, their father was the worst.
"No. I don't expect someone like you to care. However, I would not appreciate you talking to her that way."
"Have you lost your manners?" Sterling thundered.
He hated when his children undermined his authority let alone in the presence of an outsider.
Shawn chucked. "For someone concerned about manners, you sure lack it when it comes to how you treat others."
Veins popped out at the side of Sterling's head but Shawn wasn't done.
